TELEVISION – Venezuelan TV that affect national television production

Dominican television has been able to draw on Venezuelan professionals, in the different areas that, for years, came to the country as a result of the crisis that has plunged Venezuela, in one of the worst moments in its history.

Within Spanish-speaking countries, Venezuela was a model of television production and creativity, but the political, social and economic situation of that nation, which included little freedom of expression, caused a massive flight of talents in all parts of the world, and The Dominican Republic has welcomed some of them, who have contributed their knowledge to the growth of local television.

The television producer and actor Leonardo Villalobos has been in our nation for five years and four years working in Telemicro, channel 5, a refuge that has allowed him to develop and expose his knowledge.

He currently serves as director of programming for Telemicro. His experience spans acting, production, and presentation. In her home country she worked at RCTV on seven soap opera projects and 16 years at Venevisión.

Regarding his experience arriving and working in Dominican television, Villalobos understands that it is about another language, another system, without different codes of the same business.

“When you understand that you are not coming to change but to contribute to what already exists, with respect and humility the path becomes easy, Telemicro and Mr. Juan Ramón Gómez Díaz have given me that opportunity, I have learned a lot,” he says.

Villalobos confesses that the path of Dominican television still has a long way to go, however his goal is focused on national production.

In addition to Villalobos, the Telemicro Media group has hosted news anchor Elianta Quintero, actress and television host La Beba Rojas and radio and television host Jessica Pereira.

The communicator arrived just days before the 2016 presidential elections to conduct the stellar broadcast of Noticias Telemicro. Its adaptation took a few days to get to know towns, cities and important figures in the political field. Since then he has been able to take on his job and it has been of great value to the program. .

“One of the biggest challenges and one that has me excited is updating the department’s technology, we are already well advanced and I think we will crystallize this dream very soon,” he says about what he found, upon arrival, on local TV.

He has been living in the country for more than five years and is currently one of the most relevant figures, in the field of opinion, in CDN 37. His contributions have been present as a news commentator, in space such as

“Final Focus”, one of the most important productions of the channel’s staff. He has also managed to publish his monthly magazine Sala de Espera.

Katherine graduated from Universidad Santa María to become a journalist and communicator.

At the age of 19, she started working in the media in her country as a reporter. In 2014 Nuria Piera is the one who gives her her first chance, when she ruled channel 37.

He arrived in the country with his project “Spanish is spoken here” (Antena 7) in 2010. A year later, he obtained the Dominican identification card that legalizes his residence in the country. In the local cinema he made his debut in 2006, with “Un macho de mujer”

He is currently in charge of the program “The War of the Sexes” by Color Vision.

He has reiterated on many occasions that his departure is due to the social, political and economic situation that Venezuela has been experiencing for several years.
