Telekom brings Neebo Baby Sensor wristband to Germany

Telekom is now offering a smart bracelet for babies. A crazy idea? Of course, most babies can make ends meet without this bracelet, but I still think that this particle can help to make parents feel safe.

And here I am currently speaking with a 15-month-old son from experience. If the little one sleeps really deep and firm and does not answer for several hours, we take a look at the right things – and always have to take care of our cats, who are happy to take the opportunity to scurry quickly into the children’s room ,

So now there is Neebo, a smart bracelet for small children up to three years old. It costs 199.95 euros and is now available on the Telekom website. Currently, the Neebo sensor equipped with Bluetooth and WLAN only works with the iPhone, there is no support for Android devices yet. In addition to the sensor with wristband, the scope of delivery also includes a charging station via which the battery can be charged wirelessly for a period of five days.

The Neebo Baby Sensor wristband measures this data

The networked bracelet measures the child’s vital signs such as breathing, heart rate and oxygen saturation. The temperature sensor informs the parents when their baby is too warm or too cold. The bracelet also records the baby’s sleep duration. The Neebo app shows when the baby is awake and alerts the parents if there are any irregularities or deviations from the usual reference values. The measured values are displayed in real time on the parents’ smartphone in the Neebo app. So they can react quickly. The app also shows how vital signs have changed in the past 24 hours.

Incidentally, the development of the Neebo sensor has not yet been completed. In the second quarter of 2020, a microphone function is to be activated, with which one can listen to the ambient noise from the wristband on the iPhone. You could almost speak of a replacement for the classic baby monitor.

Finally, the question for you: How do you like the Neebo Baby Sensor bracelet? Is it a step too far to equip your offspring at this early age with this kind of technology? Or can you even imagine that the sensor gives you a secure feeling?
