Teenager Fascinating to Spread Gun Photos Via AirDrop, Passengers of One Plane Are Evacuated

Liputan6.com, San Fransico – Flight United Airlines about to leave the International Airport San Francisco shocked by the photos that are scattered in AirDrop Apple on Thursday afternoon July 22, 2021.

In the scattered photos it seems to show pistol type airsoft gun. Seeing that, the aircraft staff got a complaint and announced a dangerous threat. In the end, everyone on the plane was immediately evacuated before takeoff.

Quotes Gizmodo, Monday (26/7/2021), SFO spokesman Doug Yakel told affiliates NBC that after several passengers reported that the photos were deemed a threat had been spread through their iPhones. Yakel immediately appealed to everyone to be taken off the plane.

United Airlines Flight 2167, which was about to depart from San Francisco to Orlando—had faced many delays before this happened.

After the search for the mastermind behind the AirDrop joke. Yakel also stated that he had managed to find the perpetrator, who turned out to be a teenage boy. As a result, he was expelled from the flight.

It’s unclear how they ultimately unraveled the mystery of AirDropper. In the past, there have been times when people using Apple’s features anonymously sent indecent photos such as male and female genitalia and even other gruesome acts.

Teen Identity Known Due to Forgetting to Change Name

It’s possible that the teen forgot to change the name his phone uses for AirDropping, meaning anyone who sees a random gun image will also be notified who sent it. Or maybe—because AirDropping only works within about 30 feet or about 90 meters from the person performing the process. So they can triangulate which passengers are at the right distance from everyone who gets the photo.

Yakel said two things were found regarding the photo of the gun, that the picture was taken at an earlier date and that the shooting location was not at the airport.

The teenager who has been examined is known to have no gun found on him or his belongings. If there is, the gun is believed to have caused some minor injuries to the passengers and crew of the plane.

Yakel said the teenager’s actions were ridiculous and not funny at all.

AirDrop is a feature available on Apple devices that allows users to wirelessly send photos and videos to other iOS or Mac users. Users can limit who is allowed to send them photos.

However, some people leave their AirDop settings open. This allows strangers or anyone within reach to “ping” you with images that may not be requested.
