With signs of helplessness, pain and grief over the death of his companions and relatives, agents and officers of the Preventive and Military Police, yesterday they fired the remains of four of their fallen members on Thursday afternoon in the line of duty.
The tragic event was registered in front of the courts of justice of this city when a group of armed subjects and military clothing interrupted the place to rescue Alexander Mendoza, aka the Porkys, leader of the MS-13 and considered the king of extortion in Honduras.
At 8:30 am, two funeral cars entered the Progress Police facilities with the remains of the police sub-inspectors Albert Faviel Lanza Gallegos and Gerlin Oswaldo Ríos Herrera.
Tears and gestures of pain flooded the place, from the lower ranking agent, auxiliary personnel and commissioners mourned the irreparable loss of two heroes who fell fulfilling their work. After more than half an hour of sailing, the relatives asked to remove the bodies to move them to their places of origin where this day they will be given cristina burial.
Lanza will be buried in the municipality of Morazán while Ríos in El Triunfo, Choluteca.
Military
The bodies of the two elements of the Military Police were flown from Ramón Villeda Morales airport to Tegucigalpa, at 12:55 noon they arrived at the Military Police complex in the capital. Rony Mauricio Rodríguez and Wilmer Antonio Poso were received with all honors by their comrades in arms.
