TCL’s new 4K TVs offer affordable 120Hz Mini-LEDs

TCL has unveiled its range of 4K Series 6 TVs with captivating specifications, which will surely bring gamer audiences and beyond, all offered at competitive prices. For starters, they will employ QLED Mini-LED technology with up to 240 local backlight zones. This will offer higher brightness than OLEDs, with better contrast control than regular QLED TVs. Together with Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG, the user will be able to watch movies with better colors and less strange lighting artifacts.

Series 6 TVs are also the first to feature THX-certified game mode. This feature ensures high fidelity for color, tone and images, as well as reduced vibration and smudging, with fast latency between light and dark transitions. THX and TCL have also collaborated to optimize the TVs’ game modes for maximum saturation, brightness and vibrancy. They also offer variable refresh rates (up to 120Hz) and auto play mode settings, which means they should work well with the upcoming consoles on the market, Xbox Series X and Playstation 5.The prices of TCL’s 4K Series 6 TVs from TCL also seem reasonable. However, the 50-inch model starts at just $ 400. The company also sells 55, 65, and 75-inch models for $ 450, 630, and $ 1,100, respectively.
