A man who wrote over 40 letters and emails to Taylor Swift and her former record company has been convicted of stalking. The man must go to prison for thirty months, an American judge decided.
The man threatened Swift and her then-team several times and drove to the office several times to deliver the letters himself. In the letters he wrote, among other things, that he wanted to rape Swift and commit suicide if he was not allowed to meet her, reports Forbes.
The man himself admitted in court to being guilty of stalking and is being monitored by the police for three years after his imprisonment.
It’s not the first time a Swift stalker has been convicted. In 2019, for example, a man was already sentenced to four years in prison.
