Taylor Swift Holds Top⁤ Spot as Pommelien debuts at Number Two

The highly anticipated chart battle between Taylor Swift and Belgian artist Pommelien has concluded,with Swift securing the number‍ one position on ⁤the Ultratop ‌album charts. The outcome follows a ⁢week of speculation ​regarding which artist would claim the ⁣top spot.

Pommelien, releasing her⁣ album “Gedoe” on October⁣ 3rd, remained unfazed ‌by the timing coinciding‌ with Swift’s release. “I ‌just chose October 3rd,” she​ stated,‌ “as the⁢ date for ⁢the release of ‘Business’ and​ I⁢ kept it, ‍even ⁤tho Swift had done⁣ the same⁤ simultaneously occurring.”

The results mirrored those in the Netherlands, were Taylor Swift’s⁣ album also debuted ‌at number one, with Pommelien⁣ following closely behind at number two. Analysts suggest that a slightly different release date for Pommelien could have easily resulted in a number ​one debut.

Singles Chart performance

Several of Pommelien’s singles experienced notable chart⁢ movement. “The best is yet too come” re-entered ‍the charts at⁤ number 45, while her ⁤collaboration with Meau, “Het ​Midden,” returned ​at ⁢number 44. From the ⁢new album‍ “Gedoe,” “Nobody is special” made a⁤ strong ⁣debut at number 10. ​ “Are you⁣ ready?” continues to ​perform well, currently⁤ at number 5, and “Atlas” remains popular in its 29th week on the charts at number 4. “IK WIL GAAN” entered the charts at number 5, marking the second-highest new entry.

Taylor⁣ Swift also claimed the number one spot on the singles chart with “The Fate of Ophelia.”
