Taylor Swift is the winner of the 2021 Gold Derby Music Awards

During years, our users have voted for his favorite film and television achievements. This year, more than 10,000 voted for the first time as the best in the recording industry, making Taylor Swift in the absolute winner.

Taylor Swift managed a clean sweep of her overall field categories. She was named Artist of the Year, while “Folklore” it won Album of the Year and “Cardigan” was named Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Also famous singer Taylor Swift won the Best Pop Artist award, bringing her total to five wins out of six nominations. The only category it lost was Best Music Video, which went to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande for “Rain on Me,” which was directed by Robert Rodriguez.

Rounding out the overall field, the winners were the K-pop group Black Pink, who won the Best New Artist award despite not even being nominated at the Grammys. That makes them the only K-pop winners this year, as Swift beat out BTS in the Artist of the Year contest.

In the genre artist categories, Fiona Apple claimed Best Rock / Alternative Artist in a close race with Rina Sawayama. Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood surpassed the legendary Bob Dylan for Best Country / American Artist. Cardi B was the best rap / hip-hop artist.

And, perhaps surprisingly, Anitta surpassed Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Maluma and Ricky Martin to claim Best Latin Artist. With his victory for Top R&B Artist, The Weeknd is actually the only male artist to win in our 12 categories.
