Taylor Swift breaks sales records with new album | NOW

Just over a week after the release of folklore Taylor Swift’s (30) surprise album breaks all sales records.

The album immediately reached the top spot in the Billboard 200, the main chart of the United States, with the highest sales ever. With this, she broke her own record from 2019, then her album Lover popped up. The album that previously held record was also in Swift’s name: Reputation, from 2017.

Swift is also the first artist whose seven different albums are sold at least half a million times. The album also performed well on streaming platforms: with 80.6 million streams on Spotify, it became the most-streamed album by a female artist on release day.
