The tax authorities in Suriname at the van Sommelsdijckstraat will open its doors again for taxpayers on Monday 24 August. It was forced to close on August 18, due to a positive COVID-19 case. During the closure period, the building was disinfected according to the established COVID protocols.
The Tax and Customs Administration calls on everyone to observe all the rules, especially now that Suriname is faced with an increase in the number of COVID-19 positives.
Persons who have to comply with their tax liability are asked to comply with the prevention measures. Visitors are required to wear a mouth mask when entering one of the offices of the tax authorities. Hands will be cleansed at the gate.
You will be asked about your destination at the main gates of the various departments of the Tax Authorities, after which you will be referred further after observing COVID-19 prevention rules.
