Tax Incentives Plus Discounts, Toyota Vios Prices Are Rp.75 Million Cheaper

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Since the beginning of March 2021, the Government officially imposed a Sales Tax on Luxury Goods tax incentives ( PPnBM) zero percent for new cars.

The regulation is stated in the Minister of Industry Decree No.169 of 2021, concerning Motor Vehicles with Sales Tax on Luxury Goods for the Delivery of Taxable Goods that are Classified as Luxury, borne by the Government in Fiscal Year 2021

In total, there are 21 models of four-wheeled motorized vehicles that can take advantage of PPnBM incentives of up to zero percent.

Six of them are represented by the Toyota brand, namely Avanza, Rush, Vios, Yaris, Sienta and Raize.

Marketing Director of PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) Anton Jimmi Suwandy said of the six models Toyota Vios get the biggest discount, which is up to IDR 65 million.

“This is because the PPnBM for this type of sedan is indeed greater at 30 percent,” said Anton Jimmi when contacted by Kompas.com some time ago.

That way, the price of the Toyota Vios car will be much cheaper. Not to mention the discount given by the dealer.

According to one of the Auto2000 salespeople in Central Jakarta, there will be a discount from the dealer for the purchase of a Toyota Vios unit in March, which is IDR 10 million.

“We will give an additional discount of Rp. 10 million for the purchase of the Toyota Vios. Can be submitted cashback or additional discounts from the dealer too, “said the sales assistant to Kompas.com (6/3/2021).

“The discount is valid for March for VIN 2021 vehicles, because for VIN 2020 the units have been sold out,” added the sales assistant.

For example, for the Vios G CTV type, the DKI OTR price is IDR 281.6 million. Then he got a discount of Rp.65.25 million (discount and price reduction due to zero percent PPnBM), the current price is Rp.216.35 million.

Not to mention the dealer’s discount of Rp. 10 million.

So the price after PPnBM and the dealer discount is IDR 206.35 million
