Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo writes Twitter that Apple will release a new version of Apple TV in the second half of 2022.
The new version is said to have a “better cost structure”, which indicates that it may have a lower price.
Apple released its latest version of Apple TV, Apple TV 4k, in April 2021. Compared to many other streaming-focused media players, it is clearly more expensive.
“I think Apple’s aggressive strategy of integrating hardware, content and services in the midst of inflation will close the gap with their competitors,” writes Ming-Chi Kuo.
