Tanja Dexters now calls herself “almost happy”, but that was once different. On the couch at Gert’s late night, she is candid about the period after her divorce, where she was discredited more than once with all kinds of facts.

From the beginning there were problems with her bar in Antwerp, the Flamingo Bar. First it was sealed, then it was raided for the possession of prohibited substances. She herself says that she feels that she was targeted by the police at the time. Because of all the fuss around her, she got into a downward spiral: “A lot of shit that gave me a lot of stress, but which got me through it anyway,” said Dexters. Because of this excessive stress, she was admitted to psychiatry for three weeks, but there too she initially found little rest.
