The Clear Communication for Veterans Claims Act mandates the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) use plain language when conveying information about disability claims, ensuring veterans fully understand their rights and options.The Deliver for Veterans Act aims to alleviate a financial burden by covering vehicle delivery fees for disabled veterans receiving specially adapted vehicles.
Recognizing the importance of post-service opportunities, two bills focus on education and job training. The Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserves Tuition Fairness Act would extend in-state tuition rates to National Guard reservists, leveling the playing field with their active-duty counterparts. The Veterans Education clarity and Training (VETT) Act seeks to streamline access to vocational education and job training programs.
A dedicated bill, the Vietnam Veterans Liver Fluke Cancer Study Act, addresses a specific health concern for Vietnam veterans.
