sport">In the decisive set, the tough Carreño Busta was continuously in the lead and Greek track started to move more and more with difficulty. At 5-4 he served to stay in the game, but before the game he was already sitting on his bench with a worried look. Carreño Busta took advantage and ended the victorious streak of Greek track.

sport">Robin Haase and Botic van de Zandschulp defeated Jean-Julien Rojer and his partner Marcelo Arévalo from El Salvador in the doubles tournament. The Dutch won the game in the first round of the doubles in three tiebreaks: 6-7 (5) 7-6 (8) 7-6 (8).
sport">The tiebreak of the third set goes to ten. In that tiebreak, Rojer and Arévalo led 8-6. Haase and Van de Zandschulp, however, took four points in a row. The match lasted no less than 2 hours and 41 minutes. Rojer and Arévalo were placed 14th in Melbourne. They have only been a couple since this season.
Wesley Koolhof
sport">Wesley Koolhof also won his first game. Together with Briton Neal Skupski, he was 6-1 6-4 too strong for Romain Arneodo from Monaco and Frenchman Benoît Paire. The tenth seeded duo Koolhof/Skupski is still unbeaten this year. Koolhof and Skupski already won a tournament in Melbourne and one in Adelaide in 2022. They have only been a couple since the beginning of this season.

sport">Van de Zandschulp is also still active in singles. He will face Richard Gasquet in the second round on Thursday. The best tennis player in the Netherlands will take on the Frenchman on court 7 in the last match of the day. On lane 7, a men’s match and two matches from the women’s tournament were played from 1 a.m. Dutch time.
sport">Van de Zandschulp (26) has never met Gasquet (35), the number 81 in the world. The Dutchman can qualify for the third round of the Australian Open for the first time.
