Tall people are more likely to become infected with the coronavirus. This is probably because they pick it up by air earlier.

This is evident from research by the University of Manchester which the British Telegraph writes. People taller than 1.83 meters are more likely to be infected by aerosols, tiny virus droplets in the air. Tall people are even twice as likely to become ill, the study of 2,000 people shows, which has not yet been published.

According to researcher professor Evan Kontopantelis, it is proof that the virus moves through the air and therefore does not only spread through large cough drops, for which a distance of one and a half meters would be sufficient. Other researchers emphasize that more study is needed to really prove that tall people are more susceptible.
