Talking Heads‘ seminal 1978 album, *More Songs About Buildings and Food*, is set to receive a comprehensive reissue, including a previously unreleased live recording from New York City.
The expanded edition will feature a 2025 remaster of the band’s performance at the Entermedia Theatre in new York on October 10, 1978. This live set includes 19 tracks, with nine of them marked as previously unreleased. Fans can expect to hear live renditions of songs like “No Compassion,” “Warning Sign,” “The Book I Read,” “Stay Hungry,” “artists Only,” “The Girls Want to Be with the Girls,” “Uh-Oh, Loves Comes to Town,” “With Our Love,” and “Love Goes to a Building on fire.”
Along with the live CD, the reissue will also include a Blu-ray disc offering the original album in multiple audio formats: Dolby Atmos Mix, 5.1 Mix, and Hi-res Stereo.The Blu-ray also contains bonus video content, including a 25-minute promotional film titled “live at Entermedia Theatre, 1978,” which is also previously unreleased. A 47-minute single-camera video of the band’s performance at Sproul Plaza in Berkeley, California, on September 18, 1978, is also included, noted as previously unreleased in its full form.
