Kabul was left without electricity

The radical Taliban disrupted power transmission pylons in Baghlan province, leaving Kabul and surrounding provinces de-energized. This was announced on Tuesday, July 27, by the Afghan national energy company Breshna.

“The supply of imported electricity to Kabul and a number of provinces has been cut off due to damage to the power transmission towers in the Kelagay village of Baghlan province. Meanwhile, active military operations against the Taliban continue in the provinces of Kunar, Logar, Ghazni, Khost, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Faryab, Balkh, Jauzjan, Samangan, Helmand, Takhar, Kunduz, Baghlan and Kapisa. According to the Afghan National Army, 187 Taliban fighters were killed in the country per day.

Because of the fighting Afghan authorities imposed a curfew in 31 provinces of the country amid growing security threats.
