Not only the florist industry but also the gastronomy profited from the tradition of celebrating the feast of St. Valentinus, the patron saint of lovers. This year the romantic date in the restaurant is canceled. There are still options for catering – from Sunday brunch to Thai tavolata. Park Hyatt: The luxurious gourmet brunch
Since Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, some restaurants offer a brunch. The Park Hyatt hotel in Zurich is particularly luxurious. The team around head chef Tarik Lange has put together a generous package of sweet and salty, warm and cold dishes. This includes small, freshly prepared croissants to bake them yourself, a bottle of champagne, pancakes or omelettes that you just have to warm up in the oven. You can also choose from an açai bowl, sweet pastries (in the shape of hearts, of course) or various types of cheese. The highlight is a veal cheek with parsnip puree and polenta, also to warm up. If you don’t like the menu for brunch, you can treat yourself to dinner and have provisions for the whole day. Tip: Enjoy brunch in bed – then it’s almost like a five-star hotel.
