Taghazout Bay / Medina. SAPST opts for rental

The Taghazout Resort Development and Promotion Company (SAPST) has opted for the rental method of units in the Medina, instead of the pricing model recommended by the Sonae Sierra company. Forty-four units with unit areas of 40 to 220 m² are currently leased with the assistance of Colliers International.

At the time when the operation of de-densification of 7,000 m² of commercial space was launched several days ago, within the component of the Medina of the seaside resort of Taghazout Bay for the creation of a place of the sea in front of this project already completed, the Taghazout Resort Development and Promotion Company (SAPST) has just started marketing this component, which is part of the resort’s entertainment program. If there is one fact that deserves to be noted, it is obviously the choice made by SAPST, in terms of marketing this component.

It is a matter of opting for the rental method of this space. As a result, SAPST preferred the rental of commercial units in accordance with the pricing model recommended by the Sonae Sierra company with the elimination of the door-to-door marketing of premises in the Medina. In figures, SAPST has rented 44 units in the Medina, with unit areas of between 40 and 220 m². They will have to house various activities, ranging from catering, to food, through entertainment and leisure activities and handicrafts and local products.

The marketing entrusted to Colliers International targets a range of fields and activities. These are catering, including gourmet restaurants, fast food and cafes; in addition to mini markets and small shops. There are also local services, in particular bank branches, exchange offices as well as entertainment and leisure activities, shops dedicated to local crafts and local products. This project, which has already been completed and which has been subject to de-densification, has been fully delivered. This component is currently entering the commercialization phase. A mission that was entrusted to Colliers International, a firm in real estate investment advice.

As a reminder, the Taghazout Bay resort was the subject, last February 2020, of several demolition orders, following the observation of several urban planning offenses with the issuance of several demolition decisions issued by local authorities to the against several tourist operators (see: www.leseco.ma).

The hotels already operational the objective being to make the necessary adjustments following its infringements. Plot n ° 18, which houses the Medina, located on the seafront, is affected by these changes, with the creation of a sea square in front of this project through a de-densification (demolition) of 7,000 m² of retail space. Currently, after the opening in October 2019 of the Riu Tikida Palace Taghazout hotel, in addition to the Hyatt Place golf hotel and the Sol House surf village, in 2015 and 2016 respectively, in partnership with the American brand Hyatt Hotels Corporation and the Spanish group Meliá, the New Integrated Tourist Resort of Taghazout (NSTIT) have welcomed a new tourist establishment, in this case the Pickalbatros Taghazout hotel, in the town of Aourir. The five-star hotel establishment has increased the operational bedding capacity at the new Taghazout resort to 934 rooms.
