Wuppertal Suspension Railway Damagedโข in shooting or Pelting
WUPPERTAL, Germany – The Wuppertal suspension railway experienced damage to two windows on Monday evening, October 21, 2025, prompting aโค temporary suspension of service.Authorities are investigating whether the damage was caused by gunfire or thrown stones.
According to a police spokesman, no injuriesโข were reported.The incident occurred โduring a journey, resultingโ in shattered safety glass on two cars. โthe railway cars have been taken to a depot for further โexamination onโข Wednesday to determine the exact cause.
Investigators are considering the possibility that โstones were โthrown onto the railway from a nearby parking โgarage, or that a firearm wasโฃ used. โA stone was recovered near one of the damaged cars.
