Vatican Hosts Historic Concert, ‘Grace for the World,’ to Promote Peace and Guide AI Growth
VATICAN CITY – The Vaticanโข held its first-ever large-scale musical event, “Grace for the World,” on Friday, September 13,โค 2025, bringingโ together a diverse lineupโข of โฃglobal artists to advocate forโ peace โฃand discuss the ethical development of artificial intelligence. The concert, broadcast live on channels including CNN and ABC News,โข culminated a โขsummit focused onโค human fraternity and โคPope Francis’ 2020 encyclical, “Brothers All.”
The summitโข and concert represent a novel โeffort โขby the Vaticanโ to engageโข withโฃ contemporary issues-from global conflict to theโ rapidly evolving landscape of AI-and to โleverage the influence of art and technology to promoteโฃ its message โขof unity and peace. Theโค event โconvened thinkers and artists withโค the stated goal of influencing the development of AI and shaping a more humane future.
Performers included โฃPharrell Williams, Andrea Bocelli, John Legend, Angรฉlique Kidjo, Bambam, Jennifer Hudson, โand, according to El Paรญs, a notably well-received set by Colombian reggaeton โฃsinger Karol G,โ whose performance drew eager applause from โa large โportion of the audience.
