Credit ⁣Card Skimming ⁢Operation Leads ‍to Arrests in South dakota

Two Florida residents⁢ with legal U.S. residency‍ were arrested ⁢in South Dakota following an examination into a ‍multi-state credit card fraud scheme targeting Walmart⁤ stores in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. The suspects, identified as Yordany Cuervo ⁢and Dario brito Permuy, are both Cuban nationals holding green cards.

The investigation began with reports of theft and fraudulent transactions at Walmart locations in Sioux City (Iowa and Nebraska), Sioux Falls, and⁤ brookings, occurring on October ⁤28th and 29th. A witness report of ⁢a vehicle fleeing south into⁣ Codington County prompted law enforcement to issue a description, ⁤leading to an interception shortly after.

During a⁢ search of the vehicle, ‍authorities discovered a important ‍amount of evidence related⁤ to credit card skimming. This included over 300 credit cards, identification documents, two‌ cell phones, and a⁤ computer.⁣ A more thorough inspection revealed ⁣eleven card skimmers – numbered sequentially‍ from 1 to 12, with number 4 missing – along ‌with a⁤ card ⁣reader/writer and materials used⁣ to create counterfeit ⁢magnetic strips for encoding ⁢stolen financial data.

Investigators believe the volume of‌ seized materials indicates a large-scale operation capable of compromising hundreds of ⁢customer accounts. Cuervo and Brito ⁣Permuy now face a total of 66 forgery charges, corresponding to each piece of ⁢evidence collected.⁤

Cuervo was released on $25,000 bail on November 24th, while Brito Permuy remains⁢ in custody. ⁤Both have entered pleas of ⁣not ⁢guilty and ‌are scheduled for trial on February 12, 2026.

Authorities emphasize that the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty.⁢ The incident has heightened concerns among‍ local customers and businesses regarding the increasing prevalence of credit card cloning⁢ in the ⁢region.

US Allies in the Caribbean Support US Military Presence Amid Venezuela Tensions

Caribbean Nations⁤ Offer Strategic Support to U.S. Amidst ‍Venezuela Tensions

SANTO DOMINGO, ‍Dominican Republic – Several⁣ Caribbean nations are bolstering U.S. efforts related ‍to Venezuela, ⁣providing critical logistical and strategic support as tensions with the Nicolás Maduro regime remain high. this collaboration unfolds against a backdrop ⁢of escalating pressure, ‌including past U.S. military actions against boats ‍and troop⁣ mobilizations ⁣ordered by Maduro, according to ⁢ The⁢ Washington Post.

Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader has been the most vocal in his support, authorizing the operation of U.S. forces within restricted areas ‌of the San Isidro Air Base and⁢ Las Américas International Airport. The agreement, described as “technical, limited‌ and temporary,” will facilitate the resupply and transport of military equipment, setting a “model for the region,” ‍as stated by U.S. ‍Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Abinader justified the move ‌as ⁢an expansion of cooperation to⁤ combat drug trafficking, which he characterized as “a real⁢ threat” requiring allies ⁤like the United ‍States.

Trinidad and Tobago is also⁣ offering support, with Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar expressing strong backing for U.S. actions.Following⁣ an initial incident ⁤resulting in 11 fatalities, the Prime Minister declared the U.S. military should “violently annihilate them all”⁢ – a statement referring to ⁢drug traffickers. While U.S. Marines are currently operating at‍ the Tobago airport,Persad-Bissessar has ⁢clarified that her⁤ country will not serve as a⁢ base for ⁤any war action‌ against Venezuela, emphasizing a focus on stability‌ and combating ⁢organized crime.

Puerto Rico, a U.S.territory,has a history of supporting U.S. military operations⁣ in the region, dating back to the⁤ Cold War. The former Roosevelt⁢ Roads Naval Station, once‍ a major naval installation, was deactivated in 2004 following⁤ protests against military exercises ⁤on the nearby island ‍of⁣ Vieques.

Grenada is currently evaluating a⁢ U.S. request to ⁤install temporary radar equipment⁤ and technical ⁢personnel at Maurice Bishop International Airport. This decision is complicated by the ancient context of the 1983 U.S. military invasion that occurred at the same location.

These⁢ developments highlight the strategic importance of Caribbean allies to‌ U.S. foreign‌ policy in the region, as Washington⁢ navigates a complex situation ‍with ⁣Venezuela.

written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Summary of⁤ the Article: US ⁢Military Operations &‌ Allegations of Illegal Orders ⁤in ‌the Caribbean

This article details a growing⁣ controversy surrounding‍ US military operations in the caribbean and Eastern Pacific, specifically targeting suspected drug boats. HereS a breakdown of the key points:

* Allegations of Illegal Attacks: Over twenty bombings of drug⁢ boats have ⁢occurred since September 2nd, resulting in over 80 deaths. These operations reportedly lack both Congressional⁤ authorization and ‌judicial endorsement, raising concerns about⁢ potential war crimes.
* Congressional Investigation: Both the Senate and ⁣House‌ Armed Services ‍Committees are launching investigations into the matter, demanding explanations from the Department⁤ of Defense. ‌ Congressman Tim Kaine ⁤initially raised concerns about “extremely disturbing ‌reports ‌of illegal orders.”
* Trump’s Response: President Trump initially claimed ignorance of ‌the story,‌ then stated he would investigate. He‍ also expressed ⁣belief in a⁢ denial from a source (Hegseth) ‌regarding the attacks.
* Defense of the Operations: A representative (Hegseth) defends the operations as legal ⁣under⁤ US and international⁣ law, claiming they are approved by legal counsel throughout the chain of command and are aimed at protecting the⁢ homeland. he dismisses accusations ⁤as “fake news.”
* US-Venezuela Tension: The controversy⁢ unfolds against a backdrop of escalating tensions between the ⁢US and Venezuela. The Trump administration has ‌been highly critical of Venezuelan President Maduro, accusing him of leading a drug trafficking cartel (“Cartel of the Suns”) and declaring ⁤Venezuela a “narco-state.”
* Military Buildup: The US has considerably increased its military presence in the region, including deploying the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier.
* Potential for Military Action: The accusations ‌against Venezuela and the military ‌buildup raise concerns ‌about a potential US military intervention, which Trump has hinted at.

In ‍essence, the‍ article highlights a serious situation where the US military is accused of carrying out potentially⁤ illegal operations, while the political climate suggests a willingness⁢ to take further‍ action against Venezuela.

Venezuela Migrant Flights Suspended: US-Venezuela Tensions Rise

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com November 30, 2025
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Venezuela Suspends⁣ Migrant Repatriation flights Following Trump‘s Airspace Declaration

Caracas, Venezuela – ‌Repatriation flights bringing Venezuelan migrants back from ‌the United States‍ have been halted following a statement by former President Donald Trump regarding Venezuelan ⁢airspace. The Maduro government has characterized Trump’s ⁢declaration as⁤ a unilateral ‌action that disrupts the logistical framework for these flights.

For eleven months, a bilateral agreement had⁢ facilitated the return of ⁣Venezuelan citizens wishing⁤ to return⁣ home. According to official Venezuelan ⁣figures, 75 flights have repatriated⁤ 13,956 Venezuelans since January. The suspension throws the future of this established return pathway into uncertainty.

The ⁢disruption stems from a post⁤ on Trump’s⁣ social media‌ platform, Truth ⁣Social, where he stated‍ that Venezuelan‍ airspace “will remain closed in⁢ its entirety.” Venezuelan officials view this ⁤as a break from the collaborative mechanisms that enabled the flights’ operation. They⁤ argue that Trump’s statement⁢ lacks the necessary operational details to allow for continued⁣ planning and ‍execution of the ⁤repatriation program.

The ⁢Venezuelan Foreign ‍Ministry has⁢ asserted that no foreign entity has the authority ⁢to dictate the use of its national airspace, citing⁢ the regulations of the International Civil Aviation Institution (ICAO). ⁣

Moreover,Venezuelan authorities have expressed concern ‌that Trump’s message represents a potential threat of force, particularly in light of recent⁤ U.S. military operations in the caribbean -⁣ specifically, the bombing of vessels as part of counter-narcotics efforts. Washington maintains these operations are focused on combating ⁢drug trafficking.

the suspension leaves the fate of ⁣scheduled‌ repatriation ⁢routes unclear and raises questions about the long-term ⁢viability of the program, which had become the primary formal channel for the controlled return⁤ of Venezuelan migrants.

Title: US Navy “Doomsday Plane” Vanishes During Transatlantic Mission

by Lucas Fernandez – World Editor November 30, 2025
written by Lucas Fernandez – World Editor

“Doomsday⁣ Plane” Briefly Vanishes From Radar During Routine Mission

A U.S. Navy‌ Boeing E-6B Mercury, one of ⁢16⁣ “Doomsday Planes” designed ⁢to maintain command and control during a⁢ nuclear war, temporarily disappeared from‌ public radar ‍tracking on Friday, m. Eastern Time. the aircraft, call sign AFD FE2, was conducting a routine mission to communicate with U.S. ‍strategic forces.

The Mercury took off from Patuxent River naval Air Station, Maryland, and flew‍ a ⁣southeasterly course over the Chesapeake Bay ‍before⁢ heading‌ out to sea. Approximately‍ 60 ⁤miles east of the Virginia Capes, the plane’s public transponder ‍signal was lost – a standard procedure during sensitive operations.⁤

These ‌aircraft, part of Operation Looking Glass ⁤(Air Command⁢ Post),are‍ equipped to allow⁤ the President and‌ Secretary of Defence to maintain communication with submarines, bombers, and missile silos even if ground command centers are destroyed. During missions over the ocean, the Mercury⁤ typically lowers⁣ a multi-mile antenna and flies⁢ circular patterns for four to eight hours, sending secure test messages. The loss of transponder signal often leads to reports of the aircraft being “missing from radar.”

Boeing manufactured the ‌Navy’s‍ fleet of E-6B Mercury⁤ aircraft between 1989 and 1992. ‌The planes are built⁤ to withstand the electromagnetic pulse of a nuclear detonation, utilizing older analog ⁤technology less vulnerable to such ‍an event.

three other Mercury planes were tracked on Monday, undertaking shorter flights near Tulsa, Dallas, and from Maryland. The purpose of these five flights ⁤remains unknown. According to Boeing, TACAMO aircraft “support the Navy’s ⁢ballistic missile⁣ forces, ‍providing a vital link to those forces from national command‍ authorities.”
