Rockaway Township, ⁣NJ – A Rockaway Township elementary school teacher resigned after a‍ firestorm of criticism erupted over a social media post celebrating the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, then complained about being “doxxed” and fearing for her safety.

The ‌teacher, identified as [teacher’s name removed], sparked outrage when screenshots of ⁤her post surfaced online‌ mere hours after Kirk was fatally shot on September 10 while engaging with an audience at Utah Valley University.‍ The post drew immediate condemnation from residents, some of whom demanded her removal during a school board meeting on tuesday. This incident underscores the escalating tensions surrounding political discourse and the potential consequences of online rhetoric.

During the school⁢ board meeting, one resident stated, “Public assassination and celebrating it ‌is⁢ indeed detrimental to the children,” according to reporting by⁤ patch. The board subsequently announced that the teacher had resigned during a private session of the meeting.

In a subsequent interview with the Daily Record on Thursday, ‌the former teacher claimed she⁤ had been placed on administrative leave September 11 and lamented being “doxxed.” She stated, “I resigned because I feared for my safety, and me being present at the school would have caused safety ⁤concerns for the children.⁤ I did not feel Rockaway‌ could protect ‍me and keep me safe.”

Jimmy Kimmel Show Canceled Amid ABC Fallout Over Charlie Kirk Comments

by Emma Walker – News Editor September 18, 2025

ABC⁣ Stations Drop⁣ ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’⁣ Amidst⁤ Controversy, host Reportedly ‘Livid’

NEW YORK – A meaningful number‍ of ABC-owned ‌television stations have stopped airing “Jimmy‌ Kimmel Live!” following a controversial monologue regarding ⁤Vivek Ramaswamy, a⁤ Republican ⁢presidential candidate, according to ‌reports. The move, described as⁢ “unprecedented” by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr, has reportedly left host Jimmy Kimmel “f–king ‌livid.”

The decision‍ by ABC’s parent ⁢company,⁤ Disney, to allow ‌stations‌ to ⁢drop the show stems‌ from Kimmel’s ‍recent on-air commentary ⁣about‌ Ramaswamy, which included a⁢ clip edited to suggest the candidate was insensitive about⁣ the 9/11⁣ terrorist‍ attacks. Nexstar and Sinclair Broadcast⁤ Group, major station owners, were among the first to pull ⁤the ⁣show ‍from their lineups.⁣ This ‌action has ignited a debate‌ about⁤ the role of late-night comedy, political commentary, and ⁢the responsibilities of broadcasters.

Sources familiar with the situation told the Daily Mail that Kimmel ⁤views the station ‍drop as politically motivated,⁤ fueled⁤ by a desire to ⁤support former President Donald Trump.”They ⁤both don’t want Trump ⁢to win in⁤ any way ‌or fashion at all, and ⁤this has lit‌ an extreme fire under Jimmy’s ass to ‍continue to tell‍ it like⁤ it⁢ is indeed and be real to himself,” one source stated. The‌ report also suggests Kimmel is planning to feature Stephen Colbert, whose “Late Show” is also ‌ending in May 2026, on his‌ program this week to discuss the situation.

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr characterized the broadcasters’ decision as a ⁢”turning point” in media, telling Fox News host ‌Sean Hannity ⁤on ⁤Wednesday, “I can’t imagine⁢ another time when we’ve had local broadcasters tell a⁤ national⁣ programmer like Disney that ‍your ⁤content no longer meets⁣ the needs and the values‍ of our community.”‍ Carr further criticized late-night ⁤shows ‍for becoming “court clerics”⁤ enforcing a “very narrow political ideology.”

“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” has been a ⁤fixture on ABC since its debut in 2004. The show’s removal from ⁣local stations raises‍ questions about the future of the program⁢ and the‍ boundaries of political satire in late-night television. Carr has called for a public apology from‍ ABC and Kimmel, stating the network’s rejection of the show is “an crucial turning point.”

Following the initial controversy, Kimmel offered condolences on social media to Vivek ⁣ramaswamy’s family after the ‍candidate’s close ⁣ally, Bill Kirk, was killed.⁤

Toronto’s Eglinton Crosstown: A Missed Opportunity for Affordable Housing

Toronto’s Eglinton Crosstown LRT Stations Under Fire for Missed Development Potential

Toronto, ON – As teh Eglinton Crosstown LRT nears its anticipated 2025 opening, scrutiny is mounting over a key design flaw: the lack of integrated development above many of its stations. Despite the potential for increased housing and revenue generation, several stations, including Cedarvale, are being built as standalone structures, raising concerns about a missed chance to address Toronto’s housing crisis and fund future transit projects.

The Cedarvale station, a “gleaming glass box” situated at a major transportation intersection alongside the Allen Expressway and a TTC subway line, exemplifies the issue. Currently planned as a single-storey building, the station’s design contrasts sharply with examples in othre global cities.

Experts point to successful models like New York’s Hudson Yards, which utilized a massive platform built over active rail lines to support multiple towers. This approach allowed for both spacious passenger flow and the structural capacity for significant development.

The benefits of linking transit and development are well-documented. Cities like Tokyo and Hong Kong have successfully leveraged real estate revenue to fund and even profit from their transit systems, with Hong Kong’s MTR network being a prime example. The article notes that the MTR’s real estate activities are so substantial it “could be called a developer that runs trains.”

Even London has a history of building up around transit, with the Covent Garden station originally built in 1904 with three storeys above ground, and a fourth floor approved for addition in 2018.

Critics argue that the Crosstown’s small station footprints are hindering future development potential. The article highlights that the standard urban pattern involves replacing modest developments with taller buildings as land values increase, but the Crosstown’s initial designs are making this process more tough. The “glass box” aesthetic, while visually appealing, is also reportedly more challenging to build upon than traditional building structures.

The Ontario government is urged to learn from this experience and prioritize integrated development in future transit projects to maximize both housing supply and financial sustainability. While Torontonians may be relieved to finally see the Crosstown operational – with hopes for a 2025 opening – the article emphasizes that the line’s design flaws should not be overlooked.

Fauci Grilled by Congress Over Deleted Emails Amid COVID Origins Investigation

by Priya Shah – Business Editor September 12, 2025
written by Priya Shah – Business Editor

Fauci Faces ‌Renewed Scrutiny as Emails Reveal Requests to “Delete” Messages

Washington D.C. – Dr.Anthony Fauci, ‌the former director of the National Institute of Allergy‍ and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), is once again facing calls to testify before Congress following the emergence‍ of emails indicating he repeatedly asked colleagues⁣ to delete electronic communications. The emails, obtained by ⁣ The Post, raise new questions about clarity‌ and potential obstruction⁤ surrounding the ‍early response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The newly surfaced correspondence reveals Dr. Fauci, in multiple instances, requested that recipients dispose of emails after reading them.In a February‌ 2, 2020, email to than-National institutes of Health Director Dr. Francis Collins, Fauci implored⁣ him to “Please delete this e-mail after you read it,” just days after a critical conference call concerning the escalating outbreak in Wuhan, China.‌ A similar request was made ⁢to a deputy, Greg Folkers, on July 20, 2020, following criticism from Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) regarding COVID-19 mitigation strategies.

These requests come under intense scrutiny as they coincide ⁢with a period of significant debate surrounding the origins of COVID-19. One email thread from February 2020 features british medical researcher Jeremy Farrar stressing the need for scientists to “get ahead‍ of the science and the narrative” and proactively counter potentially “damaging” ‌reports. This ‍communication preceded the publication of a scientific paper, ⁢”The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2,” which‌ downplayed the possibility of ⁢a lab leak – a theory that⁤ has gained renewed ⁤attention in recent investigations.

Notably, Dr. Fauci previously stated ⁤he was unaware of the paper’s authorship, despite evidence suggesting he contributed to its editing. He ⁤also dismissed ‍the lab leak theory as a “shiny object” in April 2020.

The revelations are fueling concerns ⁢about a potential cover-up. Dr. David Morens, a senior advisor ‍to Fauci, was previously investigated⁢ for discussing strategies to circumvent Freedom⁤ of Data Act⁢ (FOIA) ‍requests, particularly those related to US ⁣funding of the⁢ Wuhan Institute of Virology. Emails ‍revealed‍ a “secret ⁢back channel” used to ‍discuss these matters.

During testimony before a‌ House subcommittee last year, Dr. Fauci asserted three⁣ times that he had⁤ never deleted official government records.

Senator ‍Paul,‌ who has been⁢ a vocal critic⁢ of Dr. Fauci’s handling ⁤of the pandemic response, is leading the charge⁤ for further inquiry. The House Oversight Committee, ⁣chaired by James Comer (R-Ky.), is expected to press Dr. Fauci for answers regarding⁤ these discrepancies when he returns⁢ to Congress.

This is a developing ‍story.⁤ Check back ⁢for updates.
