Facundo Juárez contributed two goals in the overwhelming 5-0 victory of Dep. Limache over San Luis, in the duel for date 4 of Chile – Achs Salud 2024 Promotion Championship. The away goals were scored by Facundo Juárez (24′ 1T and 32′ 1T), Renato Tarifeño (15′ 2T), Renato Díaz (37′ 2T) and Daniel Castro (42′ 2T).

A great play by Dep. Limache, 32 minutes into the first half, was what moved the scoreboard thanks to Facundo Juárez. Renato Tarifeño gave the ball to the forward, who whipped a shot from the semicircle to the right post.

San Luis’s next game in the championship will be as a visitor against Rangers, while Dep. Limache will host U. Concepción.

With this result, the host of the match reaches 3 points and is in fourteenth place. For its part, the visiting team remains at 6 points and is in fifth place in the tournament.

The mayor of Olivar, María Estrella Montero, representing the inhabitants of the commune and the members of the municipal council, last Wednesday undertook a significant trip to the Coastal Rainforest to deliver the solidarity aid collected during the Olivarina Solidarity Week 2024. Accompanied by her municipal team, the mayor visited the communes of Las Cabras, La Estrella and Pumanque, where she met with her mayoral counterparts and delivered the collected resources.

The initiative, which mobilized the Olivarian community, aimed to support the families most affected by the devastating forest fires that hit the region during the summer.

During the Olivarian festival, non-perishable food, toiletries, new towels, bedding and pet food, as well as bottled water, were collected. Mayor Montero expressed her gratitude to all the residents of Olivar who actively participated in this noble cause. In addition, she highlighted the collaboration of the community in general. “We are a small commune, but with a big heart,” she said.

The municipality of Las Cabras, on its social networks, thanked the Olivar commune for the help. “We appreciate the enormous help provided by the Municipality of Olivar, headed by its mayor María Estrella Montero, with the purpose of going to the aid of the victims who suffered from the forest fires in recent months. The benefit consists of 300 bales of alfalfa, of which our mayor Juan Pablo Flores Astorga appreciates both the commitment of the community of Olivar and the constant concern of his mayor for our commune.

Meanwhile, the municipalities of the Coastal Rainforest also joined in the thanks. The mayor of La Estrella, Angélica Silva, regarding the Olivar aid, said “I feel very happy and honored by the visit of the mayor of Olivar, María Estrella Montero, who is a great friend of La Estrella. I am very grateful, because we have had a hard time during this time, with the fires. We have burned more than 8 thousand hectares, and 43 houses were burned. For us it is super important to have this help. I am infinitely grateful to all the people of Olivar for this solidarity help that they have come to leave at La Estrella. For his part, the mayor of Pumanque, Gonzalo Baraona, after meeting with Mayor Montero, said “I want to deeply thank the mayor of Olivar, and on her behalf to her entire community, for this great help that she brought us, due to the summer wildfires this year. It will be very beneficial for us, and for the people who suffered total loss of their belongings. There were 14 families that lost their homes, and more than 50 families that also suffered different types of damage. This is going to be a great help for them. On behalf of the residents of Pumanque, I thank you for this solidarity visit. I send a very deep hug to the entire Olivar community. Thank you very much,” said Mayor Baraona.
