Pilsen Striker Rafiu Durosinmi Close to Eintracht Frankfurt Winter Transfer: Details, Price, and More

Pilsen striker Rafiu Durosinmi is close to a winter transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt, with whom he is said to have verbally agreed, according to the German TV station Sky Sport.

The price for his transfer could be around 10 million euros, i.e. almost a quarter of a billion crowns.

According to the British Daily Mail, the 20-year-old Nigerian preferred Frankfurt over Brighton.

Durosinmi underwent surgery for damaged ligaments in his knee in October and will not play until at least the end of the year.

Before the injury, he scored six goals this league season and is Victoria’s top scorer.

He came to Pilsen in January from Karviná on loan, which turned into a transfer in the summer.

In the Czech top flight, the 192-centimeter-tall striker has 45 matches and 13 goals to his credit.

Frankfurt are looking for attacking reinforcements ahead of the winter transfer window.

In the 11 rounds of the German league so far, last year’s Europa League winner scored 17 goals and is seventh in the table.

Adam Hložek on Controlling Robert Lewandowski and Czech Republic’s European Championship Qualifier

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com November 15, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

According to offensive all-rounder Adam Hložek, one of the keys to success in Friday’s European Championship qualifier in Poland will be for the Czech footballers to be able to control the opponent’s biggest star, Robert Lewandowski.

He still considers the 35-year-old Barcelona gunner to be one of the best strikers in the world. At the same time, Hložek admitted in a video interview for the media from FAČR that he is struggling with the current smaller workload in Leverkusen. Nevertheless, the twenty-one-year-old attacker tries to behave professionally in order to get a chance at least in the cups.

Lewandowski missed the Poles in October due to injury, but returned to the national team for the November program. The star gunner has scored 81 goals in 144 matches for the national team and is unquestionably the best scorer in his country.

“I see him as one of the best strikers in the world. I think he shows that every year when he always scores 20 or more goals. It will be very important for us to prepare for this player and prevent him from scoring those goals,” he said Hložek before the early evening departure of the national team to Warsaw.

Before the final matches of the qualifying group, the Czech team holds the progressive second place behind the leader Albania and can definitely secure participation in next year’s championship in Germany already on Friday. But he needs to win in Warsaw and at the same time hope that Moldova does not beat the Albanians at home on the same day. Regardless of the other results, a win in the last group match at home against Moldova would send the Czech Republic to the final tournament.

“We are definitely going to Poland for three points. We know how the cards are played. Now we have two important matches waiting for us, with which we can end it and take the last step to the Euros,” Hložek declared.

In the first duel in the group, the Czechs beat Poland 3:1 at home at the start of the group in March, after already leading 2:0 in the third minute. “We can definitely take something from that match. We know it’s a great team, great players from great clubs. We also know they’ve changed their coach. Maybe their tactics will be different, maybe they’ll prepare differently for us. That’s up to to our implementation team to prepare us for it. And then it’s up to us, the players, to give the best performance,” said Hložek.

At the beginning of the season, the workload at the club is lower. In the 11 rounds of the German league so far, he has not started for Leverkusen, the undefeated leader of the table, even once in the starting line-up. From the beginning, he only got a chance in the domestic cup and the Europa League.

“We are undefeated in 17 (competitive) games, we are doing well. I know that the minutes are not ideal for me. It is difficult for me in this. Unfortunately, I can’t say anything, because we are winning and the results are coming,” said Hložek. “Of course, I try to behave professionally and work in training so that I get minutes at least in those cups,” added the former Sparta Prague player.

Mourinho’s Analysis of Slavia vs AS Roma – Europa League Match

Mourinho’s Analysis of Slavia vs AS Roma – Europa League Match

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com November 11, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

“What happened? I can’t explain it. I will be honest, Slavia extremely deserved this victory. While we extremely deserved to lose. Not in all matches it is this clear, but this time it is. We lost in a terrible way,” explained Mourinho. This year’s Europa League finalist is second in Group G on points and, like the leader Slavia, has two rounds before the end of the autumn phase, a certain spring in the cups.

Mourinho didn’t come to the press until half an hour after the match, because right after he did a quick analysis with the players in the cabin. By the way, he was the only one from the team to come to the press: “I don’t want my players to talk to the media after such a match. Only I will handle it.”

And the analysis in the cabin? “I usually leave it for the next day, but now I felt like it. Maybe because I was sitting up top because of the penalty and I had a better view than on the substitutes’, commented Mourinho. “I just liked midfielder Bove: he was calm and had a great attitude. He was the only one who followed instructions and did what he was supposed to do.”

The seventh team of the Italian league couldn’t get into the match in Eden from the start and surprisingly managed only two direct shots on goal. Almost as if Mourinho’s boys were subconsciously saving up for Sunday’s league derby with Lazio. “Although I was not born in Rome, no player can feel more Roman than me. But maybe the players are not as professional as I am. Maybe my professionalism doesn’t allow me to spare anyone,” said Mourinho.

Nevertheless, at Slavia, he left out some names in the starting line-up and sent them to the field only in time: the stopper Bryan Cristante jumped into the second half and the mission of the offensive all-rounder Paul Dybala began in the 68th minute. “Maybe Bryan runs 12 kilometers in a game and I need him in shape,” explained Mourinho. “But it wasn’t about this match at Slavia. The problem was, among other things, that we didn’t manage to win a single one-on-one fight.”

When it’s the worst, Czech players will come out of Blaník and bring emotions up, Jindřich Trpišovský was happy and thanked Mourinho. Video: Sport.cz

What else was wrong? “The players did not comply with practically anything. We should have been faster and made no mistakes, we were losing the ball quite easily,” described Mourinho. “Slavia played the way they tried to in the first match. We quickly got it under control because we scored two quick goals. However, it was completely different in Prague. I repeat that it is only my fault.’

FC Liverpool and AS Rome lost a hundred percent balance. Liverpool lost to FC Toulouse 2:3 and AS Rome failed in Prague with Slavia 0:2 in Group G.

Liverpool were losing 0:2 after an hour of play, when Aron Dönnum and Thijs Dallinga scored for the current 14th Ligue 1 team. In the 74th minute, “The Reds” returned to the match after an own goal by Cristian Casseres, but Frank Magri restored the two-goal lead to the French team two minutes later. Even Diogo Jota’s goal in the 89th minute, not long after arriving on the pitch, did not change the fact that Toulouse gained three points and moved to the 2nd place in the promotion.

Slavia decided their triumph after changing sides. Václav Jurečka opened the scoring in the 50th minute, finding Mojmír Chytil perfectly in front of the goal in a crowded penalty area. He got to the ball after an intervention by goalkeeper Mile Svilar. Lukáš Masopust opened the net for the second time, who in the 74th minute headed right to the post from outside the penalty area. Jakub Hromada got on the field at the very end, Michal Tomič, another Slovak, sat on the bench. The “stitched” caught up with the Romans on points and both teams are aiming for promotion.

Ajax Amsterdam continues its unconvincing performances this season, it did not get points even at home with Brighton (0:2) and in the balanced B-group it belongs to the last place with two points. The Premier League participant has seven of them.

Slavia Prague Coach Jindřich Trpišovský Disappointed with Team’s Performance Against Pilsen

He had his say and certainly did not spare the players. Sunday’s explosion with Pilsen was noticeable in every way.

“We said something right away on Sunday in the cabin. Then again on Tuesday, I think very emphatically,” the coach indicates how disillusioned he was.

“I absolutely missed our team’s emotions, stubbornness, desire to reverse the result. Of course, Pilsen played excellently, but from our side it was not what we are used to at home. Maybe for the first time in the six years we’ve been here,” Jindřich Trpišovský is not afraid to say.

It appeals to the mental side the most. “We said it to each other. We want to learn and not repeat it. We have to fight more for Slavia, for the jersey, the players feel that way. It cannot be excused that some emotional players have left us. We have to replace them,” emphasizes the coach.

The players have to agree with him. “As for the match with Pilsen, it is true. We ourselves felt that our performance went down, even though we played the game well. This can’t happen to us anymore. We are fighting on three fronts, we want to be successful on each,” adds Michal Tomič.

So far, Šišvani is certainly holding the second place behind AS Rome in the group. A comfortable position in the table therefore gives them the opportunity to focus more on the quality of the game.

At home, we are not used to losing and performing like this, regrets Lukáš Provod. We have to make up for it on Thursday! Video: Sport.cz

“We mainly want to rehabilitate ourselves for Sunday, we feel that the performance was not good in terms of emotion and fighting. We owe a lot to ourselves and to the people. I’m waiting for a big game against a big team. It’s always about what your opponent will allow you to do. Yes, we want to bring out the best in us. So that our football can also be watched well,” agrees Trpišovský.

AS Roma may perceive the match as one of many, with a derby against Lazio waiting for them at the weekend. However, the people of Prague take the duel as a holiday.

“It’s a big match for all of Slavia, we appreciate it. I hope we play the way the fans want us to play, fly around the field on Thursday. It’s a really big game for everyone. We want to show a different face than we showed against Pilsen in the second half,” the coach says.

Europa League Showdown: Sparta vs Rangers – Key Match for Advancement

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com November 9, 2023

Glasgow (from our reporter) – Both teams have four points each in the basic group, this is one of the key matches in the fight for promotion to the spring elimination phase. “The opponent is improving in recent matches. We have to fight. A difficult match awaits us in a difficult atmosphere. But we are well prepared, we focused, among other things, on the defense and the problems we had in it,” said Priske.

Sparta has something to give back to Rangers. In autumn 2021, they lost 0:2 at Ibrox Stadium and definitively lost the chance to progress to the spring phase of the Europa League. Slovak winger Lukáš Haraslín was also on the pitch at that time.

“I remember the match, it was one of the saddest matches I played in my career. We knew the duel would be very difficult, but we made many mistakes. They left a lot of space for the opponents, we were punished,” recalls Haraslín.

On the other hand, he appreciates the tumultuous atmosphere in Scotland at the time. The stadium can accommodate over 50,000 spectators, who can create a hellish football environment.

“You play football for these moments. On the other hand, we were sorry for the result, we did not play the best match. We had chances, but we failed to convert them,” emphasizes Haraslín again. Priske expects the crowd to push the home team strongly forward. “It will give them strength. However, it may be similar in many respects to the match two weeks ago in Prague (0:0). It will definitely be played at a high pace,” assures the coach.

“The stadium is nice, a wonderful place for football with a great atmosphere. It’s up to us to push the team forward and get some points,” says Priske, saying that he is aware from the beginning that the group with Betis and Limassol is really difficult.

It’s safe to say that whoever wins on Thursday night will be very close to advancing. “We have a very good chance to enter the spring. It is one of the key games, but there are still a lot of points at stake. We have to fight,” orders Priske.
