Nicol says she no longer recognizes that agreement at all. Her lawyer announced last week that she was terminating that agreement. Things are not going well at all for actor Geert Hoes (40) from Den Bosch. He has been in hospital for months, he announced on Facebook on Monday. He had not been feeling fit for a while. So he decided to undergo a medical check at the hospital. “Not knowing what kind of silent killer had really been working in my body for a long time.”

“I was full of life and could handle anything, I thought,” the actor explains on social media. “I worked hard, sometimes too hard, and traveled criss-cross through the Netherlands. During the last few months of work, I got some complaints and noticed that I was not quite myself. But I waved that away with the thought that it was all a bit much and that “It would all work out in the end. I had lost 35 kilos in recent months, but I had also started living a healthier lifestyle.”

“I’m 40 years old, I’m in the prime years of my life, right?!”

He attributed his complaints to a lot of work, little sleep and the responsibility he bore as the new director of Rocket Agency. But when he had his blood checked, it turned out that something was seriously wrong. “I was sent to the hospital. That message hit Geert and his partner incredibly hard. “I left the room completely numb and with an empty feeling.” He wondered out loud how this could happen to him. “I’m in the prime years of my life, right?!”

“It felt like I was being eaten inside.”

Then the former star of GTST ended up in ‘hell’. “In hospital, out of hospital. No longer being able to walk, difficulty speaking, falling away, being dependent on wheelchairs, being dependent on tube feeding, side effects of all medications, intense pain throughout my body, hellish nights…”

After many examinations, it turned out that Geert did not have colon or pancreatic cancer. He was taken in an ambulance to the academic hospital in Leiden. After many examinations, scans and biopsies, it turned out that he had contracted a very rare bacteria. “So rare and untraceable for a learned pathologist that the chance of winning the jackpot at the State Lottery would be even greater according to the doctors.” In addition, a parasite was found. “One that apparently can only be present in distant tropical places. From the beginning I told the doctors that it felt like I was being eaten from the inside, like bugs were crawling under my skin.”

“I sometimes physically feel like an old grandpa.”

The treatments have now started. According to the actor, these will take some time. “Sometimes things are better than others. Let’s hope everything will work.”

The doctors have said that some of Geert’s complaints cannot be explained with the current diagnosis. That is why additional investigations have been started. “My head keeps spinning. I sometimes physically feel like an old grandfather, but sometimes a little better. I sleep a lot, but I also feel that I can and will overcome this! No matter how difficult the journey will be, we will face this and I have enough to fight for.”

Terrie Eisinger (39) from Sint-Michielsgestel sometimes eats eight frikandels in a week in the craziest variations, making her a real hit on TikTok. Now the frikandel queen of Brabant, as she calls herself, has even made her own song: ‘Frikan Del Sol’. She hopes to conquer the charts with this. “But most of all I hope to bring a smile to people’s faces.”

‘Don’t talk, enjoy yourself’ is the motto of the cheerful Brabo. She shouts it in all her TikTok videos. She started making videos a year and a half ago, in which she tried out special dishes. When she tried the discodel (a frikandel with disco dip) at the request of her followers, the Frikandel Queen was born. She tests one variation after another and now has 165,000 followers.

“I have already eaten so many special frikandels and had so much fun with them.”

In everyday life, Terrie is a management assistant at a construction company, but as soon as she gets home the frikandels are fried. When asked how many frikandels she eats per week, she says: “I don’t eat frikandels for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are one or two every week, but when I record videos for TikTok I sometimes have outliers of eight or nine per week.”

In addition to the discodel, Terrie also tried frikandels with pizza, bapao and sushi on it. And she thought that deserved a song. “Of course, more songs have been made about the frikandel, but not about all those variations,” she says. “I have already eaten so many special frikandels and had so much fun with them. So I thought, that frikandel should have a song.”

“The frikandels slide down my throat better than the nuts!”

When she participated in the TV show ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ it all happened very quickly. Her team also included music producer Luc Weegels from Den Bosch and they started talking. “I said I really wanted to record a song and he was able to help me. That’s how the idea was born.”

They went into the studio, but quickly agreed that a real singer would sing the chorus. “So it wouldn’t sound like a cat whining,” laughs Terrie. “I was okay with rapping, but I don’t have a golden throat. The frikandels slide through better than the nuts!”

Terrie’s song ‘Frikan Del Sol’ will be released on October 27th. Will it be an early carnival hit? “It’s not really a hoempapa song, but it goes very well with the carnival,” says Terrie. “So I would really like it if that happened, but you can’t force that. I especially hope that it will make people happy.”

Breda presenter Herman van der Zandt said goodbye to the NOS Sportjournaal on Friday evening. He kept his farewell speech short, but he did say that he would miss his colleagues incredibly.
