BRANFORD – โคHugh Jackman, the acclaimed actor and upcoming Oscars host, surprised โคaudiences at the Legacy Theater in Branford on Saturday with a visit to โฃsee theโ comedy “Noises Off.” the theatre confirmed Jackman’sโ attendance in a news release.
Jackman, aโฃ multi-award โคwinner with โan Emmy, Grammy, Tony,โ and Golden Globe to his name, โคandโค also โmultiple Academy Award nominations, was there toโค support โฃhis friend, James Roday โRodriguez, who stars โฃin the production.
“very โcool for this โgreat showman to support regional theater on the Connecticut shoreline,” Roday Rodriguez said โขin the release. “Cast and crew were stoked โคto touch his arms and use this boost to finish the 22-showโฃ run.”
The visitโข came shortly after jackman completed a 24-show engagement withโ “From New โYork,โ With Love” atโข Radio City Music Hall in โNew Yorkโข City. He previouslyโ won a โ2004 Tony Award for Best โขActor โin a โMusical for his performance in “The Boy From Oz” โขand was nominated for the same โawardโฃ in 2022 for his role as Professor โharold Hill in “The Musicโ Man.”
