Detroit, MI – Tacos Wuey, a popular Detroit eatery, is set to open its doors at 3970 W. Vernor on Friday, July 18th, offering a diverse menu of Mexican-inspired dishes.

The restaurant’s offerings will include many of the favorites from its previous month-long residency at Frame restaurant in Hazel Park. Among these are creamy guacamole served with crispy chicken skin for chips, and the signature quesabirria. This dish features a 10-inch flour tortilla filled with the family’s recipe for braised guajillo beef birria and chihuahua cheese, accompanied by a rich consommé.

New additions to the Tacos Wuey menu will include gobernador tacos, a shrimp dish prepared with onions, poblano peppers, cream, and cheese. Chef Vargas is also known for his ceviche salpicon, which will be available with a medium spice level.
