Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered the 100th episode of his highly popular radio talk show “Mann Ki Baat”. The radio show emphasizes the role of start-ups and small businesses in building a self-reliant India and promoting social and environmental causes. Maximum number of nursing colleges will be opened in UP, Bihar and Rajasthan, know seats and complete admission process
New Delhi. In the next few years, 157 more Nursing Colleges will be opened in the country. The Modi cabinet has given its approval on Wednesday itself. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that the cabinet has decided to open 157 new government nursing colleges. These colleges will be established after the year 2014 along with new government medical colleges opened in the country, in which B.Sc Nursing will be studied. There will be 100 seats for B.Sc Nursing in all these colleges. After the formation of these nursing colleges in the country, the number of seats will increase to 15,700.
On Wednesday, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet approved Rs 1570 crore for the establishment of these colleges. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that this will provide affordable and quality nursing education. The country’s largest state UP will benefit the most from this. UP will get 27 new nursing colleges. After this comes the number of Rajasthan where 23 new nursing colleges will be built. Bihar will get 8, Jharkhand will get 5 nursing colleges.
There are 1 lakh 6 thousand MBBS seats in the country and 1 lakh 18 thousand BSC Nursing seats.

With this decision, the needs of the country and the world will be fulfilled. Today Indian nurses are giving their services in many countries of the world.
How is admission
Admissions to B.Sc (Hons) Nursing courses are done on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scores. Admission in B.Sc Nursing is done after passing the NEET exam. It is a 4 years undergraduate course. Candidates age should be 17 years for Nursing admission.

Medical device policy also got approval
There are currently 5,324 nursing colleges in the country. The Modi government is going to increase it to 5,481 in the next two years. After the Corona period, the government is paying special attention to the health sector in the country. Whether it is a matter of purchasing medical equipment from abroad or other types of medical equipment are also being developed in the country itself. For this, the Modi government has also approved the medical device policy.

Former Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal’s Last Rites Held at Native Place Lambi
Former Punjab Chief Minister and leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal party, Parkash Singh Badal, passed away on April 26, 2023. His mortal remains were brought to his native place, Lambi, for the last rites. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his respects to Badal and tweeted about his passing. Badal was a leader who fought for the truth and for the welfare of the poor, according to National Conference President Farooq Abdullah. The Congress canceled all events scheduled for the following day out of respect for Badal. The Punjab government declared a holiday on April 27, and people queued up at the Shiromani Akali Dal office in Sector 28, Chandigarh, to pay their last respects to the former chief minister. Badal’s cremation took place on April 27 and his passing was mourned by politicians from across party lines.

The Prime Minister reciprocated with a namaste and a smile. The Padma awards are conferred in three categories — Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Late Mulayam Singh Yadav and author-philanthropist Sudha Murty were among those awarded the Padma Vibhushan.
