On September 17th,a Maternal & Childโ Health (MCH) Outreach Camp โคwas successfullyโ held at โthe โHealth & Wellness Center – Sub-Centreโข (HWC-SC) in Kijumetouma village,Jakhama โคblock.The camp was โฃa collaborative effort โขbetween the Office of theโฃ Chief Medical Officer, Kohima, the District โHealth Society, theโ Department of Health & Family Welfare, and the โขNational Health Mission (NHM).
according to a press โขrelease from the CMO Office Kohima, Deputy CMOโฃ Dr. Imchatoshiโค addressedโ attendees, emphasizing the importance of utilizing the โcamp’s services. The focus was on promoting mother and childโ health, encouraging โคhealthy lifestyles, and โfostering proactive health-seeking behaviors within the community.
Dr.Imchatoshi also highlighted โthe collective responsibility ofโฃ raising health awareness โคto improve the well-being of the society and the individual contributions needed to achieve this goal.
Dr. Khrievilhou Nakhro, โฃDPO โค(RMNCAH+N), underscored the priority given to children and pregnantโ mothers within the outreach program.He stressed the crucial role of community participation โฃin establishing enduring healthcare services.
Dr. Nakhro also outlined the specialized teams available at โคthe camp,โค including Pediatricians for child โhealth, Gynaecologists for maternal health,โค the RBSK (Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram) team for school-going and dropout children, โขand the Mobile Medical Unitโข (MMU)โ team for addressing general health concerns.
Theโค camp provided valuable resources to attendees, with gifts and nutritional packages โคdistributed to fully immunized children, Accredited Social Health Activists โข(ASHAs), and pregnant mothers. A total of 62 โvillagers benefited from the health services offered during the MCH outreachโฃ camp.
