written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

New Delhi ∙ The Censor Board has approved the controversial movie ‘The Kerala Story’ with an ‘A’ certificate. 10 changes have been suggested. The film, directed by Sudeepto Sen under the banner of Vipul Amritlal Shah production, has been criticized for insulting Kerala. There is a huge protest in Kerala and outside. There was also a demand to ban the film.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and others came forward with criticism. The Censor Board has directed to remove the interview portion of the former Kerala Chief Minister and some dialogues from the film. Among the dialogues that were avoided were the US providing aid to terrorists through Pakistan and the Communist Party not allowing Hindus to perform rituals. It is reported that it has been suggested to change the part that says Indian Communists to Indian.

The theme of the movie is that four women from Kerala convert to join the terrorist organization ISIS. After the release of the trailer, parties including Congress, Muslim League and CPM came forward with opposition. Director Sudipto Sen also said that not 32,000 but more people have converted to IS in Kerala. Sudeepto said that the movie was made after studying about 6000 cases and politicians should criticize after watching it.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has criticized that ‘The Kerala Story’ was deliberately made with the aim of communal polarization and spreading hatred against Kerala. The movie is taking on the Sangh Parivar propaganda by making Kerala, the land of secularism, the epicenter of religious extremism. The chief minister also pointed out that the ‘love jihad’ allegations, which were rejected by the investigating agencies, the court and even the Union Home Ministry, were part of a planned move.
