Shallow earthquakes are more damaging than deeper ones. Reports do not indicate any confirmed major damage here. An employee of the Maragusan disaster office told AFP that authorities were investigating reports of landslides on the national highway.

“We have not received any reports of other damage or casualties, but we are checking the villages around the town,” he added.

The quake lasted about 30 seconds and was followed by aftershocks, said Stephanie Clemen of Tagum City, 40 kilometers from Maragusan.

Approval of the proposal submitted to reduce the daily working hours of employees in Kuwait

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com March 5, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Kuwait: The Human Rights Committee of the Parliament has approved the proposal submitted to reduce the daily working hours of the employees in Kuwait. Dr. Muhammad Al-Huwaila m. The proposal submitted by P has been approved.

In the proposal submitted to the Parliament, it was requested that the working hours of the employees should be reduced in a manner that is not equally detrimental to the services provided to the citizens and the rights of the employees, or to open the opportunity to work the hours of their choice as per the request of the employee as per the requirement of the job.

By reducing the daily working hours of employees, it is possible to increase productivity and provide better services. Al Huwaila also mentioned in his proposal that it has been successfully implemented in many countries such as Qatar, Japan, New Zealand, Sweden, Netherlands, Russia etc.

Keeping these goals in mind, he said, he submitted a proposal to reduce the daily working hours or reduce the number of working days per week to four days. The pressure imposed on the current working hours, recording of attendance and going back and forth from the place of work causes the employee’s work performance to weaken.

Hence, the employee’s focus is only on recording attendance, time to go home, and how to maintain marks during performance appraisal. This is what is happening in government offices now, he said.
