The Head of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), TNI Suharyanto, has given Rp.500 million ($38,000) to landslide victims in South Bogor District, West Java. The funds were symbolically handed over to Bogor Deputy Mayor Dedie A. Rachim at the evacuation site. The ready-to-use funds are intended to accelerate the process of searching, helping and evacuating the four residents who are still buried under the avalanche materials. Additionally, the BNPB has offered logistical support and equipment such as tents, blankets, necessities and hygiene kits. High-intensity rain in Bogor on Tuesday 14 March led to a landslide affecting Sirna Sari village leaving two people dead, 11 people found alive, four people still missing, and six houses and one place of worship destroyed.

Buried by landslide material, access to Malang-Kediri-Blitar is closed

Land landslide occurred in Ngantang and Pujon, Malang Regency, East Java (East Java). There were three landslide points that occurred in the sub-district.
Reported detikJatim, Wednesday (1/3/2023) Head of Emergency and Logistics BPBD Malang Regency Sadono Irawan said the three landslide points consisted of two incidents in Ngantang and one incident in Pujon. Landslides occurred on Tuesday (28/2).
“The first landslide occurred at 17.25 WIB in Sukomulyo Village, Pujon District. Then the second landslide occurred at around 19.00 WIB in Mulyorejo Village,” said Sadono when contacted by detikJatim, Tuesday (28/2/2023).
“After that, the third landslide occurred at around 20.30 WIB in Sidodadi Village, Ngantang District,” he continued.
The access roads in the three locations are covered with material. Both Malang-Kediri and Ngantang-Blitar. Regarding the cleaning of the landslide material itself, it is still being carried out at two points.
“The point we are cleaning is in Mulyorejo Village together with the Provincial Highways. The landslide in Sukomulyo has not been handled because it is still raining and the soil is still unstable,” said Sadono.
