A man has diedโ after being struck by a โvehicle on teh Ballygowan Road in east Belfast. The collision occurred โคshortly after 11pm on Saturday, prompting a full response from police, fire and ambulance services.
The incident has closed a section of theโ Ballygowan Road while investigators gather โevidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the pedestrian’s death. Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcamโฃ footage to come forward as theyโค begin a full inquiry.
Emergency services were alerted to the scene atโ approximately 11pm, finding a male pedestrianโ had sustained fatal injuries.โ He wasโฃ pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
“Just after 11pm, we received a report of a pedestrian having been โstruck by a vehicleโฃ in the Ballygowan Road area,” said Inspector Adair. “Our officers attended โalongside emergency service partners, however the man was โคsadly pronounced deceased at theโ scene.”
