On Monday, the Ukrainian national team held a routine pre-match training session in Milan at the San Siro stadium. It is in this arena that the Euro 2024 qualifying match between Italy and Ukraine will take place today.

The famous arena is already decorated in the colors of the national team. By the way, Italy will occupy Milan’s locker room before the match, while the Ukrainians were allocated – no, not Inter’s locker room, but another, third – guest room. It turns out that all San Siro visitors are accommodated here, and not in the preparation area of ​​one of the two stadium hosts.

The San Siro lawn was in pretty good condition. True, the surface cannot be called ideal – the grass somewhat pulls out from under the boots. However, as you know, the conditions are the same for both opponents.

The owners found an opportunity to please Ukrainians during this difficult time for our country. When the national team stepped onto the San Siro lawn, the inscription “The Italian Football Federation and the national team welcome friends from Ukraine!” appeared on one of the stadium’s huge screens.

After a warm-up, during which physical training coach Vitaly Kuliba offered the guys several competitive exercises for agility and attentiveness, the team moved on to immediate preparation for the match. All 25 performers present at the team camp took part in this lesson. An hour’s work in the arena of tomorrow’s confrontation is exactly what the head coach has to assess the condition of the performers and choose among them the main squad for the fight.

“I want to thank all the fans who came to the game with England. The atmosphere was incredible. It is a very emotional moment when you see the entire stadium covered in Ukrainian flags. Everyone knows what time it is now, it is important to support every Ukrainian. Of course, we will wait for the fans, because this is our heart, we play for our Ukraine.

Italy defender Gianluca Mancini will miss the Euro 2024 qualifying match against Ukraine. This was reported by the Tuttomercatoweb portal.

The medical staff of the Italian national team will still assess Mancini’s condition, but, according to the source, he will not play against the Ukrainians.
