Mumford โ& โSons and Hozier have joined forces on a new single, “Rubber Band Man,” releasedโ today. The collaboration blends Mumford & Sons’ signature folk instrumentation with Hozier’s soulful vocals, marking a notableโ musical pairing โbetween theโ acclaimed artists.
The โrelease follows a history of onstage collaborationsโฃ between โHozier and Mumford & Sons, including โขa 2017 performance of The Beatles’ “Aโข Little Help From My Friends” at the Longitude Festival and a 2023 renditionโ of “Awake My Soul” at Austin City Limits. Mumford & Sons recently released their album Rushmere in March, โคrecordedโ with producer Dave Cobb across multiple locations including Nashville, Savannah, โคand Devon, England.โฃ Theโ album represents a new chapter for the band โas a trio, following Winston Marshall’s departure in 2021 due to political differences with his bandmates.
Earlier this week, Mumford & โSons showcased โtheir โcollaborative spirit in Nashville, welcoming Lainey Wilson and Sierra Ferrell onstage for special โperformances. Ferrell contributed a cover of Townes Van โคZandt’s “If I โขNeeded You,” while Wilson joined for her song “Things aโ Man Oughta Know” and a duetโข of Mumford & Sons’ “Awake My Soul.”
