TimesApps Integrates Enhanced Campaign tracking and User Engagement Tools
TimesApps has rolled out a new integration designed to bolster its campaign tracking and user engagement capabilities. The update introduces functionalities for loading google Ads (gtag) events and Facebook (FB) Pixel events, alongside the integration of the Survicate customer feedback platform.
The implementation of these tools is contingent on specific site settings and user subscription status. If the site settings, including the active status of Google and Facebook campaigns, are available and the user is not a premium subscriber, the gtag and FB Pixel events are loaded directly. Concurrently, the Survicate JavaScript is loaded, with its activation dependent on whether the current section is permitted for Survicate surveys.
In scenarios where the initial site settings are not fully available or if the user is identified as a premium subscriber, TimesApps retrieves the necessary configuration from a designated Jarvis API endpoint. This dynamic approach ensures that campaign tracking and user feedback mechanisms are activated appropriately based on the prevailing conditions.
The Survicate integration is designed to be robust, with a fallback mechanism to ensure its proper initialization.If the Survicate object and its `setVisitorTraits` method are not immediately available upon script execution, an event listener is attached to the `SurvicateReady` event to trigger the attribute setting process. This ensures that user subscription status and geolocation data are accurately captured and utilized by the Survicate platform.
The survicate JavaScript is loaded asynchronously to minimize any impact on page load performance. The script is dynamically created and inserted into the document’s head, ensuring it executes without blocking the rendering of the page content.
The `TimesApps.toiPlusEvents` function serves as the central point for managing these integrations. it checks for the availability of `toiplus_site_settings` and the active status of Google and Facebook campaigns.Based on these checks and the user’s premium status,it orchestrates the loading of the respective tracking scripts and the Survicate platform.
This strategic enhancement by TimesApps aims to provide deeper insights into campaign performance and to facilitate more targeted user engagement through personalized feedback mechanisms.
