FX Hadi Rudyatmo’s Press Conference on Jokowi and PDIP Parting Ways

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Chairman of the Branch Leadership Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (DPC PDIP) FX Hadi Rudyatmo held a press conference in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta on Wednesday, November 29 2023. 1. The reason Jokowi and PDIP parted ways

Rudy Jokowi parted ways with his party after Gibran Rakabuming Raka became Prabowo Subianto’s running mate. Gibran is Jokowi’s eldest son.

Family JokowiAccording to him, he is now not aligned with PDIP not only because he is hurt by being called a party officer. According to him, Jokowi and PDIP parted ways after his request to extend his term as president to three terms was rejected by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

“The first is to ask for an extension, asking for three terms. Mbak Mega is a person or general chairperson who is obedient and adheres to the constitution,” he said.

2. Say Gibran is no longer a PDIP cadre, Jokowi still is

Rudy stated that Gibran Rakabuming Raka is no longer a party cadre while Jokowi still is. He stated that Gibran was no longer a PDIP cadre after being confirmed as Prabowo Subianto’s running mate.

However, he was reluctant to confirm whether DPC PDIP The city of Solo has issued a letter revoking Gibran’s membership. Rudy also had no problem with Gibran’s steps in not returning his PDIP Membership Card (KTA).
