Farewell is approaching! Salzburg sets price for Oumar Solet

Oumar Solet and FC Red Bull Salzburg could soon part ways.

As the “Salzburg News” reports, the Frenchman is on the sidelines for the Austrian series champions. The reason for this is the attitude of the central defender, with which Salzburg are not said to be satisfied. But Solet also sees himself as having made great progress in his development and therefore wants to take the next step.

The French should be drawn to Serie A. AS Roma is considered the favorite to sign the central defender.

Salzburg lets Solet go for ten million euros

According to the report, the Mozartstadters have also set a price for which the 23-year-old would be available. There is a transfer fee of ten million euros in the room. Solet has a contract in Salzburg until summer 2025.

The defender came to Salzburg from Olympique Lyon in the summer of 2020 for 4.5 million euros. He played 91 games for the Red Bulls. Solet won three championships and the ÖFB Cup once with the Mozartstadt team.

The attendance figures for the 16th round of the Admiral Bundesliga

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com December 6, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

30,292 spectators found their way into the stadiums during this turbulent Bundesliga round.

Four games could not take place as planned last weekend – and this was partly reflected in the number of spectators.

In Innsbruck, the duel between WSG Tirol and Rapid with 900 visitors didn’t even break the thousand mark.

However, this does not apply to all games: Blau-Weiß Linz were able to enjoy a sold-out house against Sturm Graz, and the Ländle derby Altach against Lustenau was also well-used with 7,564 spectators.

However, most visitors were at Austria Vienna against LASK with 10,689 tickets sold.

All in all, however, there was a decline in spectators in this round, as there were still 54,697 stadium visitors last matchday.

The number of visitors to the 16th round of the Bundesliga:

round Spiel Final score Viewership
16. Red Bull Salzburg – Wolfsberger AC 1:0 3.921
16. Blau-Weiß Linz – Sturm Graz 1:1 5.595
16. Austria Vienna – LASK 0:0 10.689
16. Austria Klagenfurt – TSV Hartberg 1:1 1.623
16. SCR Altach – Austria Lustenau 3:0 7.564
16. WSG Tirol – SK Rapid 1:2 900

FC Red Bull Salzburg vs. WSG Tirol: Bundesliga Match Preview

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com November 4, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

FC Red Bull Salzburg will be visiting WSG Tirol in the 13th round of the Bundesliga (from 5:00 p.m. in the LIVE ticker >>>).

The negative spiral continues to spiral at WSG. Since the narrow 3-2 win over bottom-placed Lustenau, they have only suffered defeats. With five points they are just ahead of Austria Lustenau and are second to last.

Things are looking up again for the champions: After often dropping points recently, they won comfortably against Altach at the weekend. Due to Sturm’s defeat against Austria, Salzburg were able to reduce the gap to the Styrians to one point.

Salzburg won the first leg 3-0.

Admiral Bundesliga Matchday 7: Sturm Graz vs. Red Bull Salzburg ends in Eventful 2-2 Draw

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com September 16, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

On the 7th matchday of the Admiral Bundesliga, Sturm Graz and Red Bull Salzburg drew 2-2 in an extremely eventful top duel.

Sturm starts the game well and is the slightly superior team at the beginning, forcing Salzburg to make a few mistakes. It seems as if the “Blackies” can be rewarded for their efforts, but a goal from Kiteishvili is rightly not given due to Affengruber’s offside position (7th).

In the 20th minute, Konate’s header creates a good opportunity for Mozartstadt, but he is unable to control the header. The game is then interrupted for a full 15 minutes due to fireworks from the storm fan stand >>>

With the campaign on the occasion of the anniversary of a Graz fan club, the Styrian supporters are initially apparently falling for themselves. With the restart, Salzburg takes control and also the lead.

Dream goal and penalty drama

After a corner from Salzburg, the ball bounces at Gloukh’s feet on the edge of the penalty area. His shot was blocked, but found its way to Baidoo, who, like a goal-getter from the left side, netted it into the far corner from an acute angle (40th).

However, the Ilzer team came out of the break strong and equalized with an absolute dream goal. Sarkaria hits the corner wide to Kiteishvili, who just shoots it from a half-right position and a good 30 meters away – and how! The bullet hits the Salzburg goal unsustainably via the underbar (53′).

Afterwards, both teams play with their sights open, Simic misses a top chance for Salzburg when Scherpen is able to make a one-on-one save. A little later, Sarkaria can calmly take the ball on the left corner of the penalty area, turns and shoots flat into the far corner. 2:1 for Sturm (63′).

Then things get hectic in the Merkur Arena. A poke in the Graz penalty area initially ends with a free kick for the “Blackies”, but then the VAR switches on – a penalty for Salzburg after a foul on Koita. The fouled player steps up himself to loud whistles and finishes flat into the right corner (73′).

The final minutes are extremely heated, but no more goals are produced. Salzburg remains at the top of the league with 19 points, with Sturm Graz still lurking close behind with 17 points.

Fireworks! Storm fans cause disruption
