Javier Losán is an actor known for his comedy shorts and for his character ‘El Ovejas’ in the series ‘El Pueblo’. Despite being from Albacete, Losán has “family” in Burgos and during the past few years Sampedros came to the city, participated in the floral offering to Santa María la Mayor and enjoyed the patron saint festivities as one more member of the Alegría de Saint Peter.

But, how does an actor from Albacete get to sign up for a club in Burgos? The story began on New Year’s Eve 2021. That day, Losán received a message on his Instagram profile that changed everything. A girl wrote to him because she “was a bit desperate, she didn’t know what to do” because he had a mentally disabled girl who was being bullied at his school.

“The only thing that cheered him up a bit was the song ‘La Lebrijana'”, from his character ‘El Ovejas’, which his mother played for the girl in the morning, Losán comments in a telephone interview. “That touched my soul so much that I made a video call,” she says. So, in the middle of New Year’s Eve, Losán called Daniela and her mother, both from Burgos, in which “they ended up crying and I also with emotion.”

A family with whom Losán enjoys in Sampedros

From that day on, Losán and Daniela’s family kept in touch. The actor began to give talks against bullying in schools, and the first one he held was in the center of Daniela; the second, in the school that the Burgos had previously abandoned because of the bullying she suffered.

The relationship between the actor and Daniela’s family grew so much that “a bond was created between this family and me that was too powerful and too strong, with the peculiarity that the two girls call me “uncle” and I call them “nieces”” . So much affection led the family to invite him to the Curpillos festival in 2022.

Already last year, the actor from Albacete came to enjoy a Parral dressed as the Alegría de San Pedro club. In 2023 he could not repeat, but he came instead for the birthday of his “sister-in-law”, in full Sampedros. Losán participated in the floral offering, which he thought was “spectacular”; he went to the bulls; he made the descent of the rocks and was with the rest of the peñistas and “with the brass band until so many in the morning eating and drinking.”

Regarding whether he would repeat the experience, Losán replies: “Man, of course.” He would love to return to Parral because he liked “the atmosphere that Burgos has. He would repeat for the party and the food ». In addition, he adds that many people recognized him during the Sampedros and that he is happy to take photos and videos “with everyone who asks me to.”

A family relationship that will become a movie

When talking about his “family” from Burgos, Losán enthusiastically affirms that “that bond has been created forever, it will never be broken, we want to be a family for the rest of our lives.” For this reason, he wants to bring his own story to the big screen and is already working on a script that makes this possible.

Likewise, Losán is immersed in the creation of another script and in the preparation of ‘Que Dios nos pille confesados’, a play in which Josema Yuste participates and which will premiere in November. He admits that the fifth season of ‘El Pueblo’ is “under negotiation” and adds that he has launched a DTT television channel: LosánTV, which can be seen over the Internet at losantv.com.
