Big Time Rush concert in Tilburg moved to Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam due to overwhelming demand

The performance of the band Big Time Rush in the pop center 013 in Tilburg has raised so much interest that the band now has to change concert halls. The band was supposed to play there in June. But because of its success, the decision was made to move the concert to the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.

The members Kendall, Logan, James and Carlos are known from their sitcom of the same name and will make their debut on the Dutch stage in June. 013 was chosen as the venue, probably because no one knew how popular the band would be in Holland.

Ticket sales in February showed that many more fans than expected wanted to attend Big Time Rush’s performance. More than fifty thousand people registered in the digital queue. And although hall 013 has room for 3,000 visitors.

So many fans missed the point. People on social media often asked why the band wouldn’t play in a bigger venue like the Ziggo Dome.

Answered prayers
Their prayers have now been answered. Ticket holders received an email on Tuesday informing them that the show will be moved to Amsterdam due to its success. The Ziggo Dome can accommodate 17,000 visitors.

This means that there will be 14,000 more tickets. The new tickets will go on sale on Friday, April 26 at ten o’clock in the morning. Fans who already had a ticket for the show in 013 can keep their ticket or request a refund.

Mijndert Rodolf from 013 says that it is a pity that the band has chosen Ziggo Dome. “But we also saw that the show was so popular. So we understand that the band wants to hold a bigger concert,” said Rodolf Omroep Tilburg. “It’s a little give and take sometimes,” says Rodolf.

Frans Bauer and Kafke Create Summer Vibes with New Song ‘From Brabant to Bordeaux’ – Exclusive Collaboration Story!

Put two Brabant hosts together in a twist and you have a summer effect. That’s what Frans Bauer and Kafke thought. The two know how to throw a summer party with their new song ‘From Brabant to Bordeaux’. While enjoying a sausage roll, the two spoke Monday on the radio program WAKKER! on Omroep Brabant how their collaboration came about.

The singer Kafke is famous for his songs ‘Springen’, ‘Puberbrein’ and ‘Nee Gij’. He has also been called ‘the singer who can’t sing’, but he sure can create an atmosphere. His agenda is full of shows and five years ago he had his own show at Poppodium 013 in Tilburg.

Until now, he had not dreamed of a collaboration with ‘our’ most famous folk singer, Frans Bauer. “It’s the big Bauer, isn’t it,” said Kafke. He finds it very special that he was not the one who asked for collaboration, but that Frans Bauer told him: “Frans’ son likes to drink beer in the cafe where my music is heard.” When Frans Jr. came home, he came and told his father that he should work with me.”

Frans did not know who Kafke was. “Once there was a cake in our office. I asked if it was someone’s birthday, but it turned out that they were going to take care of the recordings of the singer Kafke ,” he laughs. That was the second time someone started talking about Kafke and that’s why Frans decided to listen to the music.

A while later, Kafke’s representative played a song about turning to Frans. He fell in love immediately. “It never left my mind,” he says. And then he decided to ask Kafke to record the song together. It wasn’t long until the two discovered that their voices fit well together. “It’s just magical,” Kafke concludes with a smile.

DJ Tiësto Withdraws From Super Bowl Performance Due to ‘Family Emergency’ – First Dutch Artist to Miss Major NFL Event

DJ Tiësto from Breda will not perform during the Super Bowl next Sunday. The singer is withdrawing due to a ‘family emergency’, he said on Thursday evening. Every year the biggest artists in the world perform at the Super Bowl.

During the warm-up and the breaks, the Breda native was supposed to perform his music in the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, but that is cancelled. “It was a difficult decision, but family always comes first,” the Breda resident reports on X.

The Super Bowl is a match between the champions of the American Football Conference and National Football Conference, the two professional leagues united under the American National Football League.

Tijs Verwest, as Tiësto is actually called, would have been the first Dutch artist to show his skills during the major NFL event. The match is usually the most watched program on American television.

Postponed Fireworks Shows in Tilburg Draw Crowds of All Ages

Many people still watched the postponed fireworks shows in the Reeshofpark and at the Piushaven in Tilburg on Monday evening. According to the municipality, the fireworks shows attracted audiences of all ages. ‘Great’ and a ‘day later’, but we don’t regret that. What a show,” people responded on social media.

The municipality of Tilburg decided to cancel four planned shows on New Year’s Eve due to the heavy gusts of wind that had been predicted. This meant that the fireworks could not be set off safely.

The shows, a combination of lights, lasers and professional fireworks, continued on Monday evening at seven o’clock. According to the municipality, this is done in an ‘extra impressive’ way. The two shows planned for New Year’s Eve per location were combined into one big show.

In the words of the municipality, Tilburg residents were still able to enjoy and toast the new year together.

Tilburg New Year’s Eve Fireworks Shows Canceled due to Strong Winds: Eindhoven and Efteling Continue with Plans

Tilburg New Year’s Eve Fireworks Shows Canceled due to Strong Winds: Eindhoven and Efteling Continue with Plans

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com December 31, 2023

There will be no fireworks shows in Tilburg at seven o’clock. Shows on New Year’s Eve were planned in two places in the city: at the Piushaven and in the Reeshofpark. Because strong gusts of wind are expected, according to a spokesperson for the municipality, it is irresponsible to allow the shows to go ahead. The risk of flares ending up in the audience is too great.

The municipality of Tilburg will decide at half past eight whether the two shows at midnight will continue. That also depends on the weather. The municipality says that it is not legally allowed to hold fireworks shows in this wind. If the show is canceled at midnight, the fireworks will be set off at seven o’clock in the evening of January 1.

“It is a disappointment that we have to make this decision again, but safety is the most important thing for us,” Mayor Theo Weterings said. “The risks for visitors and those involved are too great to allow the shows to go ahead.”

Canceled for the fourth time
This is the fourth time that fireworks shows have been canceled. This year there would also be a show during the Tilburg Fair. It threw a spanner in the works there too. Last year this was also the case on New Year’s Eve and the year before, in 2021, there were no shows due to corona.

The fireworks shows in Tilburg are intended as an alternative because private individuals in the municipality are not allowed to let off fireworks. Such a ban on cutting also applies to Eindhoven.

Eindhoven
The municipality of Eindhoven, together with the organization of the New Year’s Eve festival EHV, monitors the weather forecasts 24/7 every hour and sees no reason to cancel the fireworks show for now, a spokesperson said. In addition, a large part of the program consists of a light show and artists will perform. So even if the weather does not permit the fireworks, there is still plenty of reason to come to the square.

If the fireworks show is canceled, this will be communicated via social media, a spokesperson said. “But we don’t assume that.”

The Efteling
Efteling also sees no reason on Sunday afternoon not to cancel its show tonight: “We are keeping a close eye on the weather and are in close contact with the weather stations, but for now it looks like we can continue the show safely.” .”

Sep Jansen and Jasmijn Torrico’s Seventh Place Finish at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022

Tilburg’s Sep Jansen (13) finished seventh at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Nice on Sunday. Together with Jasmijn Torrico (14) he sang ‘Holding On To You’, an upbeat dance number. The festival was won by France, as the young duo had predicted.

On Sunday afternoon they were the last of the sixteen participating countries. We also saw the advantage of this in advance. “If we are last in line, people might remember our song best during voting,” Sep thought.

The last time the Netherlands won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was in 2009 and it will remain that way for the time being. Then Ralf Mackenbach from Best won with his song ‘Click Clack’. Sep and Jasmijn were honest in advance about their chances of winning this year: “1 out of 16. We just practiced well. But we’ll see what happens,” said Jasmijn.

“It just has a really nice vibe.”

“We are really happy with our seventh place and we had so, so, so much fun!”, Sep told the Jeugdjournaal afterwards. “We are certainly not disappointed but just very happy.”

He said they really enjoyed the adventure. “Even though we did not win, I would like to thank everyone very much for voting for us. We will enjoy everything for a long time to come.”

Both previously indicated that host country France could do well. “I really like their song. It just has a really nice feel to it vibe“, said Sep. That turned out to be the case, because 13-year-old French Zoé Clauzure eventually won the song event with her song Barn.

They had received tips for their big performance from Luna, who traveled to Armenia for the Netherlands last year to participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. “She gave us a tip that we should just have fun, it will be over soon.”

At least they had fun. After the results, the duo indicated that they were also going to party tonight.
