No smart game Liverpool draw Chelsea; Both teams failed to score Sports | Deshabhimani

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com January 22, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

London
The battle between the giants of the English Premier League ended in a boring draw. The game between Liverpool and Chelsea ended goalless. A draw at home was more of a setback for Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp’s team is eighth with 29 points from 19 games. Graham Potter’s Chelsea are two places below on goal difference with the same number of points.

The game progressed without any significant progress on either side. In the beginning, Kai Havertz shook the Liverpool net but it was proved to be offside. In the second half, Chelsea’s new player Mykailo Mudric brought some life to the game. Another newcomer, Benet Badiasile’s shot was blocked by Liverpool goalkeeper Allison Becker. At Anfield, Liverpool’s forwards were a complete disappointment. Big-money signing Cody Gakpo didn’t make a move in goal. The arrival of Darwin Nunes did not change. Mohamed Salah faded.
