Guitarist Costello Hautamäki surprises others Just life -artists when going through the biggest change in their band Popeda. Soloist Pate Mustajärvi announced in 2022 that he would leave the ensemble, and that also happened last fall after the Ratinan concert in Tampere.

On TV, Costello reveals that neither he nor anyone else in the band received advance warning from Patella about what was to come. He recalls his first shock in the program.

Roope Salminen doesn’t believe what he hears.

– All the years have passed nicely. One has taken a package and the other is at another point, Costello describes the evening in the episode on Nelose.

– We both had this good saying that there is a lot of room under the carpet. All the problems and sorrows there. There is room, Costello says, even if someone might disagree with the way things are handled.

In connection with Pate’s departure, there were initially news about the breakup of the whole band. In the end, however, that didn’t happen, and a new soloist was hired instead. Ollie Herman performed for the first time with the band in April of this year.
