Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The official Saudi Al-Ekhbariya channel said that the English club Fulham agreed to sell the contract of its player, Alexander Mitrovic, to the Saudi club Al-Hilal, this summer.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano, an expert in the transfer market, revealed that the club active in the English Premier League had rejected two offers from Al Hilal to win the services of the Serbian striker, before they reached a final agreement.

Mitrovic is 28 years old and is considered one of the most prominent strikers in the English Premier League.

Aleksandar Mitrović joined Fulham in 2018, and since then he has participated in 205 matches, scoring 111 goals and providing 22 assists.

At the international level, Mitrovic has 81 matches with the Serbian national team, during which he scored 52 goals and assisted 4 others.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) — The prince commented Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi Minister of Sports, on the possibility of attracting Argentine star Lionel Messi and French striker Karim Benzema to Saudi Arabia.

And press reports had claimed that the player who won the 2022 World Cup and the top scorer of the Spanish club Real Madrid was within the circle of interests of the “Roushen” league clubs, to contract with them in the upcoming summer transfer market.

In an interview with local Saudi channels, the correspondent said to the Saudi Minister of Sports: “Is it true that the Messi and Benzema deals have been completed?” To which he replied: “I am waiting for the official statement,” adding: “The clubs are the ones who announce this officially, and God willing, in the right time.”

And he continued, “The management of Ittihad Jeddah Club is the one who must work (on international deals), and we, as a ministry, must support all clubs with this thing.”

And Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki continued: “God willing, the competition next season will be stronger than the current season, and God willing, the clubs will prepare for a season full of surprises.”

And the Saudi Minister of Sports concluded: “We must work for everything that is in the interest of sports in the Kingdom… Our goal is to promote Saudi football in the best international forums in line with Vision 2030.”
