Mumford & Sons Debut New Collaboration with Hozier During World Tour
Mumford & Sons surprisedโค fans with a new song, “Rubber Band Man,” featuring a studio collaboration with Hozier,โฃ while continuing their world tour in โsupport of โthe album RUSHMERE. The release marks the first time the two โactsโ have officially recorded together, building on a history of shared performances.
This collaboration arrives as Mumford & Sons navigate a busy touring schedule,and hints at a potential โคwealthโข of unreleased โฃmaterial recorded with producer Aaron dessner of Theโค National. Theโ band’s willingness to experiment and invite other artists into their creative process underscores their continued evolution โขand commitmentโค toโ delivering fresh music โขto their fanbase.
The new track was producedโข by Dessner at his Long Pond Studio in Hudson, New York. According to a statement, the band recorded a critically โimportant amount โฃof material during these sessions, leaving “the studio door open at Long โขPond” for future collaborations. Hozier’s contribution is described as “the first meaningful connectionโข of many studio collaborations.”
Dessner’s involvement isn’t new; he previously worked with Mumford & Sons โฃon their โฃ2015 album, Wilder Mind. Prior to “Rubberโค Band Man,” Hozier โฃand Mumford & โSons shared the stage at the โข2015 Bonnarooโค festival for a โcover of โThe Beatles’ “A Little help From My Friends,”โ and again at the Austin โCity Limits festival โin 2023.
Mumford โ& Sons will โconclude โคthe โขNorth American leg of their 2025 tour on October 26th in Omaha,โฃ Nebraska. โFollowing this, they will embark on a 22-date tour of theโข U.K. and Europe, culminating with two shows at the O2 in London on December โข10th and 11th. The band will return toโค the U.S.for a performance at the wild Horses Festival in San Diego on December 27th, followed by appearances at Noah Kahan’s Out of โฃthe Blue festival in Cancun in early Januaryโฃ and the โขinnings Festival โคin Tempe, Arizona, in late February.
