Malaysian Duo Narrowly Miss Worldโ Titleโค at 2025 World Corporate Golf Challenge in Shanghai
SHANGHAI,โ November 11th – A Malaysian team came withinโ a single โpoint of claimingโ the championship โขtitle at the 32nd World Corporate Golfโค Challenge โค(WCGC) World Final, held Octoberโ 19-23 at theโข Dongzhuangโ Beach golf Club in โคShanghai. Widad skycore’s Isyraf Widad Muhammad ikmal Opat and Muhammad Adib Ibrahim secured aโค strong second-place finish wiht a combined โscore of 80 points over โขtwo โdays.
The duo was edged out by China‘s Guojiao 1573 Team 2, who took first place with 81 points. Another Chinese team, Guojiao 1573 Teamโฃ 1, rounded out the podium with a โscore of 79.
Team Leonian Malaysia, represented by Anushka Gayan and Lee robert, also delivered a โcommendable performance, finishingโ fifth in the highly competitive โinternational field โwith 74 points.
The WCGC โฃbrought together corporateโ golfers and executives from โคfive continents, combining high-level competition with networking opportunities and cultural experiences. Participants enjoyed play on the Linksland โand Parkland courses, alongside events including the โฃSports Legends Cup, a cruise on Shanghai’s Huangpu River, and a โblack-tieโ awards gala at the Pudong Shangri-La Hotel.
