Giants Add Kicker Younghoe Koo, Make Roster Moves Ahead of week โค10 Matchupโ with Raiders
The New York Giants bolstered their โฃspecial teams on Saturday, signing kickerโข Younghoe Koo off the practiceโค squad.This move comes โas the Giants prepare for their Week 10 contest againstโ the Las Vegas Raiders. Koo, who โคwas released by the Atlanta Falcons onโ September 23rd, brings a proven track record to New York, havingโข madeโค aโ Pro Bowl โขin 2020.
KooS addition addresses the Giants’ โฃneed for kicking โฃstability. Throughout his career, spanningโข 93 โคgames โwith the Los Angeles chargers and Atlanta โFalcons, he has converted 181 of 211 field goal attempts (85.8 percent), โwith a long of 58 yardsโ – a kick he made with โขtwo seconds remaining in a 26-24 โvictory over the โNewโฃ Orleans Saintsโข in Week 4 of the 2024 โฃseason.He’s also demonstrated accuracy at various distances, โคgoing 52-for-52 inside 30 yards and 52-for-56 โfrom 30-39 yards. In โคaddition to signing Koo, theโ Giants elevated linebackers Zaire Barnes and Tomon Fox from the practice squad to the active roster. however, the team also โคplaced linebackers Collins and Muasau on injured reserve.
Meanwhile,the Chicago Bears announced several inactives and injury designations for their upcoming game. Defensive back Josh Blackwell (concussion), linebacker T.J. Edwards โข(hand/hamstring),โ defensive lineman โขDominique Robinson (ankle), and wideโ receiver Jahdae Walker (concussion) have been ruled out.
