T-Mobile and Open Dutch Fiber will start laying fiber in Amsterdam in 2022 – IT Pro – News

T-Mobile and Open Dutch Fiber will start laying fiber optic fiber in Bos en Lommer and around the Westerpark at the beginning of 2022. The two companies want to connect 29,000 households in Amsterdam to fiber optic.

T-Mobile announces the expansion of the network Tuesday. At the beginning of 2022, T-Mobile and Open Dutch Fiber will start laying fiber around the Westerpark and in the Bos en Lommer district. The first households can be connected from April. T-Mobile offers subscriptions via its fiber optic network with an upload and download speed of a maximum of 1 Gbit/s.

Last month, T-Mobile and Open Dutch Fiber started laying fiber optic fiber in the Netherlands Venlo. In September, T-Mobile and Open Dutch Fiber already announced in Utrecht expanding the fiber optic network. Earlier, plans were also made for work in Rotterdam, Haarlem on Zoetermeer announced.

The two companies started installing fiber together in early 2021. They say they have realized 250,000 connections this year. Over the next five years, the two companies want to connect one million Dutch households to their fiber optic network.
