Syrian smugglers detained in Ter Apel | Inland

According to the Marechaussee, these are suspects aged 24 and 21, who live in Hardenberg and Tynaarlo. They transported a Syrian man of 24 years old and a Syrian boy of 12 years old in their car.

They got off near the registration center for asylum seekers in Ter Apel. Passengers were found not to have valid border crossing documents when checked by the military police. They said they were related to the co-driver. The two entered the immigration process.

The driver and co-driver were arrested for further investigation.
